Is there a hard copy in the works? I'd be the first one to order one!
eldokid@aol.com
There's only one hard copy, as the book was hand crafted (binding, stitching, found materials); it was photographed afterward to become viewable online. I believe the book will be for sale at Proteus Gowanus.

Really enjoyed seeing all the pictures. This is one of those things nobody thinks about, but is really fascinating to see. Thanks once again Motts.

Much coolness! Rusty old decrepit gurneys, a fitting landing spot for my own rusty old decrepit ass some day. I call dibs on the "morgue use only" unit!

Why does Dead Rollers require flash player?
Barry C.
Because it's an interactive piece that lets you flip the pages.
Motts
Thanks Motts! Keep um coming!

can you post more pictures of norwich hospital
sal
Coming very soon!
Motts
My first gurney experience was in nursing school in 1970. Believe it or not there were several of the pictures that showed items I used at some point in my 36+ years. The last picture shows instrument tables that were used in the operating room. Each type of operation demanded different tools. The "scrub nurse" opened the instruments for the case and laid them out in the usual order of use or in her favorite lay out so she could grab what was needed as the surgeon called for it. Sure brought back memories to see these pics. Thanks for posting this "off beat" set. Hope the book is recognized as the work of art that it is.

does it acutally same the REAL name of the abandoned hospital in the book..or does it lie like opacity and make up a fake name to the abandoned hospital ...can you really believe what opacity says when he lies and makes up fake names to abandoned hospitals???
God
I don't think one can call it lying when the pseudonym has an asterisk and a note explaining it, and all the histories are quite real. In fact, if you actually put a slight amount of effort into research, you can find just about all those places on Opacity pretty easily.

But I wouldn't expect as much from someone who has the time to post silly comments instead of reading the text in the book he/she is asking about.
Motts
I Love urban exploring ...and opacity.us rules.....my problem is that if opacity is making up a FAKE name to a abandoned hospital...it makes me wonder the other information on the webpage is accurate and updated information...or is some of the information on opacity a pseudonym to ? this book is a really cool idea....opacity rules
God
If you doubt the authenticity of the histories on the site, research the ones in question and compare those versions with the one on opacity; I can assure that there are no fake or made-up histories. I cannot keep track of the most up-to-date status on all the locations but I do try.
Motts
