Hey Mista' Motts! Uh oh, there goes my Boston accent again! : ) Don't you just love this "analog" version of a movie camera?! Besides still photography, do you also film videos? And by the way, how did you get that nickname "Motts"?

Has anybody been to "Spider Gate" Cemetary in Worcester, MA? It's an old cemetary with very old stones and legends. I went to it with some friends at night a long time ago-it was a lot of fun! I also took my dog with me during the daytime for a few extra visits as well. : )

Hey Mr. Motts, don't forget to "pahhk the cahhh, and then pick up some pizzer!" Yes, I do have a thick Boston accent: We put A's where there are R's, and R's where there are A's! Too funny! ; )

@Jason Stackhouse-I fully agree, this IS vertigo! Has any one seen the old movie called, "Vertigo"? It was truly a classic! My friend Veena and I saw it, and then later on we went up a staircase similar to this, and it felt like "vertigo"! : )

Inside the Greenhouse

MARIE, CMT

Ya know, Mr. Motts, although ALL your pictures are well done, this has got to be one of my favorites-it reminds me of the beautiful woods that I used to go walking through as a kid. Every time I look at it, I feel at peace...I love the way the sunlight filters gently through the trees and the soft contrast of shade and light. This green house looks so enchanting, like a fantasy: I can picture myself dancing in the middle, in a white summer dress, twirling around and around... your pictures truly speak volumes and evoke certain emotions-the sign of a true artist! : )

Scarred Seclusion

MARIE, CMT

@Boiler 1220-Wow, it's amazing that they are finally taking it down. You're right, the asbestos is a real problem. It's too bad that the building couldn't be rehabed into a new and more therapeutic facility for children with competent staff, including caring music and art therapists. It's a shame that you and your friends had to deal with such incompetent staff. It should have been a place of healing and building up the spirit of the person, not the tearing down. I pray for all of you that God touches His healing hand upon you always.

@Boiler 1220-It must have been fun to play that piano and reminisce the good times of being together. I love that tiger that is painted in the background-I can't get it out of my mind. It probably reminds me of when I was in Kindergarten, and I used to love to draw tigers. I drew them all the time in class and drew them well-it gave me confidence since I was a very shy child. The teacher got mad at me since I only drew tigers, but what she didn't realized is that it was a confidence booster for me in a new classroom setting. I have always loved to draw. Today, I love to draw portraits, since I find the human face so fascinating! : )

@Boiler 1220-I'm glad to hear that some people are doing OK today after being there. It's interesting that all of you were like a family and bonded together through shared experiences. Just shows how strong the human spirit is, and how we can overcome the most distressing times.

The Pool

MARIE, CMT

@ Sharon Day-Thanks for the mention of the Pines site! This hotel must have been a great place in its day. I especially like the shot of the skating rink on the site-it's amazing how some of these old resorts had rinks in them. I would have gone there-I was a figure skater in high school-it was a lot of fun! : )

Such a shame that they let these old pianos sit and rot. They should have been removed immediately when the building closed. We had a lot of these old pianos (in good shape but some were terribly out of tune! ) in the Music Dept. at my college. They did have 2 beautiful black grand pianos as well!
