an NG tube will stop vomiting by suctioning all matter (including gastric juices) out of the stomach. Also rests the digestive system--horrid things-i had them put in as a child, wide awake, and told to swallow as it went in. i feel for any kiddos in this place

Rollers

yea, these totally got tangled in your hair, my mother would always try to curl my and my sisters stick straight hair - i remember trying to sleep with them digging into my head; can still feel it----OW! and if you tried to pull them out by your little self you tore hair out of your head, I imagine the residents would get fixed up for visiting days only

Baby Bottles

spent my childhood in hospitals for weeks and months at a time because of my genetic issues. caregivers have tremendous power over children in these settings. however even more so in the 70's when "visiting hours" were enforced and parents were not particularly informed about the treatment the child received. my mother had 7 more children and could rarely visit me because children under 12 were not allowed (i was the otdest) the aqua colored tiles are like memory triggers. like peering into the past,...

The Tower

tj

hey ozz, i just drove up from boston a couple weeks ago and did the investigation with taps. i actually got quite the collection that night! not only did i get pics but a/v as well. i will openly admit in the face of criticism that the place has a few para occupants. whether it be from the houses that were torn down for the construction of the terminal or the term itself. they are there. the structure alone was amazing! i was hoping to go up in the tower but it was off limits. i was awed by what i did get to explore though. its magnificent.

Looks to me that they weren't planning on closing the hotel for good. That's why the dining room was intact and bathrooms look as if it could be used today

What great pics! I worked there (obviously at a different business) until just recently and besides the building I worked in and the tunnel connected to that building I never had a chance to do other exploring, besides walking the grounds. I have some pics of the inside of the power supply building but all they show is water and mold (it's condemmed and very apparent why). While working there I remember a few different times that kids had explored the grounds and showed me some interesting finds: spoons, dentures, etc... Again - great pics!!
