I went to the building many times last summer (because I live in Goshen right near the school) and I have to say that now it is much more difficult to get in the building because of the building being gutted and renovated...its sad to see them demolish the building.

PS--the reason it closed was the lack of enrollment...although many people like to attribute it to the death of Paul Ramos

Bathrooms are very dangerous in psych Hospitals,even today. While staff attempt to give privacy it also is an opportunity for patients to attempt to harm themselves. Many suicides in psych hospitals happen in bathrooms. This room having the two windows may not have been an asset. Psychotic patients many times need the decreased stimulation. Just imagine if you felt someone was coming to get you through not one but two windows.

How sad to see a beautiful hotel turn to decay. I had a cousin who worked there in the 50's to the70's he worked in the dinning room . I would go up to the Pines and the Concord hotel many times . It was so beautiful up in the Catskill Mountains back than. How very sad it is that people can no longer enjoy.
Oh and buy the way my cousin's name was Don Brower.
