i worked at the pines as a waiter from '78-'84,aqnd this definite3ly lookslike my oldroom on the 4th floorof the ritz. it didn't look this bad back then. it was actually pretty nice. staff didn't stay free, but they only took out about $5 a day for room and board. use of the hotel amenities was usually allowed. the money was really good working in the dining room, so there was definitely alot of major partying going on.with the chalet only 1/2mile away in the summer,life was grand.....
