the textural difference between the rotting metal and the smooth painted background is stunning. not to mention the color spectrum. the aqua and yellow pulsating thru the rusty corrosion

the predasessor to the sliding door. these types of doors were probably easier to maintain. imagin opening a normal hinge door that many times? they wear out pretty fast. plus take into account current prison facility doors and how they too slide closed rather than swinging open.
