Shifting Shapes

This photo doesn't portray good memories for this room.

Resisting the Blue Glow

There it is!

And look, you found the Blue Room too!

It looks like the walls were made with cheap particle board.

Dust and Grime

Wouldn't that make a great accent piece! Coffee table, side board, storage chest, etc.

Is there a lone chair in there?

Agony

reddll

What a sad photo. Look at how it's front paws are so serenly folded. Many animals wander off and hide in a secluded place when they are dying. This cat probably was dying and chose here (and took awhile judging by the feces) to do it. Maybe it was up above in the rafters (?) or roof above and fell into it's current position when it died.

Suits

What an odd thing to leave behind.....

I just read the "hens and chickens" comment, that ran through my mind as well! What a creepy planter it would make!

This is a very "death of chidhood" photo. It appears to be an old clown dummy head that had a flocked face and 5 o'clock shadow. Didn't they just state today that universally most kids hate or are afraid of clowns? I bet the square on the forehead was for controls to move the eyebrows.

Shit On

Does this make me look bigger?

Light From Above

Looks like someone tried to clean the seat off a bit before trying to sit down. Looks like they thought better of it.

Gatherings

Hello there! Nice to meet ya! Shake hands? shake? Anyone?

Who's out there?

Wedge

Down seems so much scarier when it is represented by "weird" shapes.

Heat

Did you see what the paper on the ground said? Also, I love that "homey, personal" touch that they put in there. That little wooden "nicknack" shelf.

Slab Tub

This room looks relatively more modern then the others.

Tip

The angle you shot this at makes it seem as though it should be holding a microphone and every time someone comes in it runs thru a comedy act.

A Shrouded Porcelin God

reddll

It makes me think of royalty, with that weird crown and all. The lay of the material, the "halo'd wings", it just cries of regality.

Yes, it is a beautiful toilet. It looks like one of those art installation that places pay a lot of money for. It's an "accidental masterpiece".

"Everything has beauty, but not everyone sees it."

Rusted Children

reddll

Wasn't this school for handicapped children? It's ironic that these little snippets are of perfect, happy children. I once got one of those little bear stickers (bottom left) from the Dentist. It said "I love my teeth".

Morgue

reddll

This one seems..almost......INVITING. How so very creepy is that!

Drawers

reddll

Why is there consistantly graffitti in every old morgue? It's as if tagging in this place of death makes you seem more alive or something? Defying Death? Hmmmmmm......

Intercom

There is something so lonely about this photo. It is in perpetual waiting.

especially in the morning when nobody calls."

Fireplace

When by the Ruins oft I past
My sorrowing eyes aside did cast
And here and there the places spy
Where oft I sate and long did lie.
Here stood that Trunk, and there that chest,
There lay that store I counted best,
My pleasant things in ashes lie
And them behold no more shall I.
Under the roof no guest shall sit,
Nor at thy Table eat a bit.
No pleasant talk shall 'ere be told
Nor things recounted done of old.
No Candle 'ere shall shine in Thee,
Nor bridegroom's voice ere heard shall bee.
In silence ever shalt thou lie.

Ahhh, the old school kitchen!

Neck Block

In black & white the buckets in the background remind me of ice cream containers.

Lucky 13

reddll

I wonder why the "normal" fridges have such heavy duty latches and the "high risk" fridge just has a cheap little sliding latch?

Hmmmm......

Globe

reddll

Geez the glass is so thick on that thing! It's a wonder any light made it out of there!

That's a bonafida "can't climb out of this thing" window.

Kinda reminds you of the inside of dirty ductwork.........complete with soap dispenser!
