This shot is almost depressing...

Divinity

Mike

Hey, I live in Buffalo, but I can't seem to find this church.
Anyone have an address or anything?!?

Locked

Mike

That explains why these wards are empty. Now we know how important it is to keep those doors locked.

Stryker Turning Frame

Mike

Hehe, Stryker... Makes me think of the movie Airplane.

Dim

Mike

Makes you wonder why someone moved that radiator cover? It it was just kids, they likely would have just thrown it across the room and not set it against another wall...

Clean

Mike

With the basked and garbage bag it even looks like the homeless tidy up after themselves. Great shots!

Safe Again

Mike

They did a nice job retrofitting modern lights and not messing things up too bad, but it doesn't look like modern AC/heat was added.

Waiting to Be Seen

Mike

Thanks for the new gallery. It was also refreshing to read the summary and see that this was originally planned as a really nice place to house long term patients. It really is heartbreaking to think of how these peopl were treated before establishments like this came along. As much as people want to complain about treatment in these asylums, the alternative was usually much much worse.

Mike

I am not sure knee placement was high on his priority listing. :)

Mike

This would be a great place to perform, "One Flew Over The Cukoo's Nest".

Makes me want to build a house right next to it. Maybe an entire neighborhood. Not...

How funny would it be if she came across this site and saw her picture here in a prison?

Mike

No arguing with that gate.

Behind the Screen

Mike

This doesn't look like it was used for movies. There would need to be a projector somewhere (back wall is exit doors) and there isn't much room in front of the first row for a portable and still project an image big enough for the back row to see. Maybe slides or an overhead projector would have worked for lectures in this room.
