I adore these sliding doors. I know them from being involved in choir and band. I more remember them as Stage Doors- since they slide, they can't be slammed... and can't ruin a performance. But I've seen them used as Fire Doors as well.

i can imagine a child with tremors but a sound mind needing something like this. His feet can be set in, the chains strapped over the feet to reduce the involuntary movement, and allow the child to focus on his studies.

It's not all sicko horror-show torture time, people. People had good reasons for the things they did, it's only our medical advances that has made formerly-sane ideas sound completely barbaric. Imagine what our children's children will think of us and our medical practices.

ohh man, seeing them chairs dragged me back to High school. There was a classroom near the Wood Shop that stored all the broken chairs so Maintenance could cobble chairs together- you'd get red seats with blue backs...

I know it's wrong and FAIL-esque, but i still can't help but admire it. It's really an attractive... can I call it 'piece of art' ? Or is it a tag? Nevertheless, wonderful design and execution, even if it's uberfail on account of it being a TB joint.

My parents had one- they are the coolest doohickeys.
You can still find some at craft stores, but most people use the heat-sensitive label printers now.

My pop had something similar plastered to the dash on the Driver's side of our family van- IS THE DOOR SHUT?

Yeah, that door had a habit of not closing properly- not so cool when driving.

If you've ever trodden on hardwood floors barefoot for hours at a time, you feet do wind up red from all the pressure. You also need to consider the lighting source- if this is indeed taken here the place probably utilizes fluorescent lighting.

In my personal opinion, this is a photo someone took as foreplay. She's stripped down, posing forcefully, and the attire ( sports bra and patterned panties) looks to be mid/late 90s- not at all related to the book its inserted into.

The idea of wood-panelled refrigerators is really appealing, I woudl love to have one in my home. Just make all my appliances disappear in a parade of wood-toned panels.

Remnants of people DO skeeve me out.
I do freak out about nail clippings, eyelashes, hair...
I won't even SIT in a chair if I can feel the warmth of the person sitting there before me.

they kind of look like the shaving from those wax cubes, actually. Maybe some cork from bottle stoppers too.

oh yes, the stains... I was wondering about that, but they skeeved me a touch too much.
