Hydrotherapy Tub

julie

Gosh I would love one of those tubs.....but I can't imagine how terrifying and intimidating it could be to a young disabled child or adults with Alzheimers.

Last Remarks

Julie

Norwich State was a horrible place, but at least it was a place to live. Many of the patients did not recover and spent the majority of their lives there. Sadly, when the hospital was shut down, these people were not given the help they needed. They were just sent out into the world after being so sheltered and some ended up homeless. There are still homeless people who live on the Norwich State Hospital grounds.

From these notes, this woman seemed to be pretty well of at the hospital. At least she wasn't in the criminally insane unit.

Poop

Julie

As disgusting as that is, it happens quite frequently in an inpatient setting. It's scary to the common observer, but it's really not all that shocking.

They are some really beautiful pictures. It's just sad that the people who inhabited this facility were treated so inhumanely.

Why the hell is a tree caged but this fireplace not? I mean not every kid can climb up a tree but every child gets fascinating by fire and wants to play with it.
