	joel Nice pic. When I was in my teens many moons ago my friends and I used to climb the water tower in the town I lived in and drink beer for hours. The easy part was climbing up. The hard part was climbing down especially after a few six-packs. We obviously didn't have a lot to do.

	Joel I agree with most of the above statements but remember not all staff members were abusive. I would estimate that about 80% of the homeless you see today have/had some sort of psychiatric illness or issue. Sad but true to quote Metallica. I would also quess that the adult cribs were for those who were very chronically ill or perhaps even severly retarded.

	Joel El is correct. The X's had to do with abatement for either lead or asbestos or both. As for the rooms I would wager that they were seculsion rooms. Interesting that the handles have been removed.

	Joel Interesting. When I was staying briefly in a mental hospital we didn't have glass mirrors. Everything was made of polished steel so we could not cut ourselves or the other patients, staff etc. I guess that wasn't much of a concern at this particular facility. That having been said I do like the shot. I like the way a single item in a room can convey so much emotion and a sense of sadness.
