*Was There* I remember almost every person you mentioned in past comments, especially the insufferable Marilyn Litman, and The Glynn Brothers. Willie & Suzanne Jones were 2 decent enough people, but they were the exception. Between Marilyn & Chris Wedge I do not know who was the worst. As for Mrs. Henderson, she was an easy target for everyone HAHAHAHAHA!!!!

I think they're crates, too, but are you sure those aren't cribs (probably not because they look so old and the place was operating in 1994)?

Many of these big adult institutions had nurseries, most of which were just to care for patient's babies before shipping them out for adoption, others were viewed as a means of therapy. (Believe it or not, caring for unwanted babies has been found to do wonders for both institutionalized mentally retarded women and for the children themselves).

I love the shots with Drie in this series. The presence of a person in these places sets up an interesting contrast (e.g. abandoned, but still occupied in a way). This one in screams exploration to me.
