Adult Building

Danny

I had a unique experience the second time. I checked out the hospital with some friends. I was stationed at Bethesda at the time, it was fall of 2005. I can't exactly remember the month. Just that after our belongings mysteriously disappeared I remember thinking it was too cold to wait until daylight to find a ride back to base. There was 4 of us the first time. We stayed for a couple hours and explored the main building. We heard some building creaks, nothing too absurd considering we had a descent sized group. Roughly 2 weeks later we returned with only 3 of us. In my experience of exploring abandoned buildings, the less people you have in the group, the more intense the experience. This second time we decided to explore the tunnels underground, Which we didn't do the first time. We had to climb a fence in the tunnel, walk past a bunch of obstructions to explore. My friends and I got to about the middle of the tunnel, to a part with knee high standing water. We decided to walk through the water to see what was on the other side. All of us took everything out of our pockets wallets, keys, cellphones ect. We set everything on some rocks. The whole area was rocks and debris. We left that particular area briefly. I'd say 5 minutes before deciding the water was too disgusting to walk through any longer. When we returned to the corner were we left our belongings, everything was gone. We sat there for roughly 20-30 minutes deciding what to do since our stuff was nowhere in site. We thought somebody followed us and stole everything. Our buddy went up the tunnel and no matter what we could still hear him. and when you're kicking rocks over, that sound echoes through the tunnels. The whole time we were in the tunnels, we were quiet, listening for sounds. There's no way somebody was following us because we would've heard something. When we left the building, the car was still there. Since we were stranded we had no choice but to report it to the camper outside the hospital area. The security guard explained the trespassing thing and let us go since he felt bad for our stuff getting stolen & gave us a ride back to base.

My mother had a nervous breakdown when I was born. As I was growing up,everything was a secret. I found out she was put in Pilgrim State in mid 1950's. I think she is alive still, but not doing well. I made contact, but it was like meeting a stranger. She tried to see me when I was young, but it didn't work out. It's sad that maybe the next time you see your mother will be at her wake. Such tragedy and loss. These pictures haunt me and send me back in time. A time I never had and a time that was lost forever. May she be well and know that I always loved her and looked for her. This is too much for me. I need to let it go, but I can't and probably never will. If there is a God,please watch over her and bring her comfort. Life rejected my mother...so sad.

Kodak Moment

It is still as creapy as ever. Was there today with my wife and 2 of my kids. We were not there for more than 10 mins. and were chased off. It is something that stays with you long after you leave. Government run health care is a very scary reality!!!!!!!!!!

this looks like the hell hole they kept my sister in at the age of 15 and was abused on a regular basis...by the people who should have been caring for her.

Note

Danny

Or possibly...since the note seems quite new...someone got locked up on purpose for some reason....maybe you guys should chek out whats behind the locked doors....

Note

Danny

Then of course we have the issue with the locks...they´re probably on the outside so I do not think that someone got locked up accdidentally.....it is all written by the same person....could be a multiple personality disorder....(look at the "t"s, "E"s, "h"s

Pit Of Oblivion

Danny

I know what you're saying, entirely. I am very much a skeptic when it comes to most everything. I fully support all sciences, and despite the mistakes of the past, I believe that science will prevail. However, the fact is, horror stories will always be with us, and I say good. Looking at a rotting insane asylum is scary, because insanity is scary (to those that are "sane") and decay reminds of our own death. Seeing a building that was once teeming with life and is now being eaten away by mold and bacteria is a bit like seeing inside our own coffins. So people get freaked out and they imagine scary things. It doesnt mean the things they post here are true. The above pic is scary if you think of a schizophrenic making it (and only because of the terror of schizophrenia, not because they are harmful) and harmless if you think of bored kids who resent being locked up. It really doesnt matter at all. People will always believe what they want to believe, regardless of the facts. Unfortunately.

Children's Morgue

Life ends in death. Sad, i guess, but a fact. Kids die, moms die, gramma's die. Its ok. No one was making any specific comments about anyone else's dead kids.
