this cat has fallen from a height.
it doesn't necessarily have to have been in pain. As the above comment states, probably more from the agonal gasping rather than anything else. It had to have either been dead or paralysed when it got there because it wouldn't let itself be in that position.
i'm a vet nurse btw, so it's all justified posting :p
