Its a shame really. In its day it does look like a wonderful house. Does anyone know if it was demolished already? How sad. It is sad that they can't think of new uses for old houses & buildings before this happens. Its a way of perserving history. If they are building new condo's what a shame. Like somone sad it could've been renovated back in the day (after it closed) and used for apartments or something. What a total shame. Anyone have an update about this? Also thanks to the students stories that used to go there. They are nice to read. Keep those stories coming. I can image how sad it would be to see the place you lived at and went to school at and have all your memories at.....look like this must be heart breaking really. As always Motts thanks for the great pictures....I don't think I'd have the courage to explore these old places. It appears its very dangerous with the floors falling in etc.

Its so nice to see words from a former student . Also nice to know that you loved those buildings too. It must have been beautiful back in the day. Thanks for all the pictures Motts. I may not comment on all of them but they are beautiful pictures....I only comment when I feel I need to. I've got many other galleries of yours ot look through. I hope you will have more for 2008 to come. These are stuning. What a shame for this building to die out so to speak. How sad really. I do hope they save those stained glass windows at least.

When I see this picture now...it makes me think back to when they were building this...the men working really hard to make it beautiful. I bet they'd be deeply saddend to see whats become of all that hard work. I agree about the graffiti. Its horrible. No respect is right. How sad really......

I agree with alot of people in this thread. What a total shame and waste of what was a beautiful building. The stained glass windows are beautiful. They just don't make buildings like this anymore. I do agree in the US those windows would be totally gone. I do hope that they try and save something from this building. If not was a total shame. Just think the $$ it must have cost back in its day and the cost now to have windows like that...heck even the building itself. Of course to restore it now would cost a ton to. Its a shame it got to this point really. What a waste really. Makes me sad.

Very scary....I wouldn't want to be trapped inside that room. It must have been hard as a patient to be staring at 4 walls. I do hope some of them were helped.

I really like seeing your pictures on this web site. Very nice. You do a great job. I don't know why I like to see abandoned buildings etc. I guess I always wonder the history of these places & all the people that lived & worked there. It was someone's life. The patients that were in these hospitals ....it can really make you think alot. I do marvel at the medical records etc stuff that should not be left behind. It should be disposed of properly. I work in medical records and its horrible to see stuff like this for all to see. Its just not right. Motts your site is great. It'll take me sometime to go through most of these pictures. Thanks for all your hard work. :)
