Yeah there sure is alot of graffiti on those walls. For this building to be only 13 yrs old it is pretty trashed.

It kinda seems like a strange place for a freezer/cooler?? In the middle of a hallway right by a window?? Very strange to me. It looks like a full complete hallway & that box/cooler thing shouldn't be right in the middle of it? Like someone was moving it or something??

Great picture Motts. It is interesting how when buildings or homes etc are left alone & when all the people are gone how it really just falls a part. In time there will just be nothing left. Kinda reminds me of that program called 'Life without People' very interesting series which I'm sure alot here watched. They showed alot of buildings like this just wasting away.

I couldn't do the ropes either very well.

Before I noticed the heat registers at the bottom I thought the opening was for one of those electric fireplaces instead of a TV. I guess the TV would make more sense though. It is funny how that was the first thought that came to my mind though.

Love the 'new' gallery. I also love the history of these old places. The historical pictures are great. I do love before and after shots. It helps put things in perspective ya know. One must never forget about these places and how these patients were treated or we will be doomed to repeat that history over again. Thanks for keeping such things alive with your wonderful photos, Motts. Can't wait for more. Now onto the gallery!!!

Yeah, thats really a shame. A shame that we can't really see the inside of it and a shame it couldn't be reused. Bummer.

It looks so much like a castle. It probably was better built than most buildings today. What a shame to tear it down really. Its sad it couldn't have been reused. It would've cost alot of $$ to fix it up though I'm sure. Since it looks like the roof was gone.(and whatever else) What a shame!! Thanks for the picture, Motts!!

Very interesting but I agree with BKW about blocking out the name of the patient and Dr since I work in Medical records in a Dr's office personally I don't care how many years ago it was I wouldn't want anyone I know or myself to be seen by all. Yes , pt confidentiality is very important!!! Its no one's business really. Its a very sad read. Just think if they did that to alot of patients back in the day. All those medications and EST wow. How very very sad. Interesting but very sad. I hope that woman did find peace sometime. I hope she got to leave that place but one never knows does one. Esp in those days.

Greast photo as always Motts. Even when it was in use though I don't think I'd want to take a bath in that room. It looks awful really. Also the green color dosen't help much either. Ugh. At least to me anyway. Or the shower either.

Yeah, I second that about TootUncommons reply....perfect as usual!! It is sad to she a beautiful or what was a nice instrument gone but when things are left to just waste thats what happens to them...I guess it goes to show everything has an 'end' sad but so true just like the buildings too.

Great photo Motts. The foot prints in the snow makes it very very interesting. Also like others have noted that the sheets are still on the bed too!! Wow. Great shot!! Love it! I'm sure its very very cold in there too!!I wonder if there was a door for that room? Cause the opening looks very large for a door. Not much privacy either!!

Too me it looks pretty scary. The decay-- once it starts just keeps going on......Those lights are also pretty scary too!!!The mold is really bad ......

It appears you'd have to be a small person to fit on that chair though and in that bath. Just an observation thats all.....anyone else think so??
