They all had handles on the outside.

Side rooms didn`t have observation windows apart from the ones where disturbed patients were placed for their safety. Only found on East and West 2, the male and female disturbed wards.
These rooms had blinds between two panels of plastic, the light fittings were in a recess in the ceiling and were covered so that they could not be broken and the glass used for self harm.

I was a CNM from 1986 to 1991 and worked nights by myself doing ward rounds. I visited all of the Laurels wards and never saw any ghosts or felt that the place was at all spooky.

Yes Denise all drugs are controlled in hospitals but the way they are stored is dictated by law and is the same in all hospitals and pharmacies.

I agree with Tenbobo, I don`t remember anyone swimming after the pool closed and certainly not on nights. The staffing levels were so poor who would have been on the wards and breaks were taken on the wards.
I don`t remember anyone drowning there either nor any rumours about attempted drowning, supervision was good whilst patients were swimming.

I don`t think you did Big T, it`s an examinaton bed.
Look again, no wheels and a pull out step to assist the patient to get on.
