Bleeding

Tom

Stacy...Soap dispensers could be ripped off the wall and used as a weapon. It sounds stupid but the people in these places could become very violent. A soap dispencer thrown at your head could hurt a nurse very seriously.

Agony

Tom

The cat found its way in there and couldn't get out. Probably died of starvation.

Sockets

Tom

The patients were taken to this wall, which had large mirrors below the lights, and here they could look at themselves (or forced to look at themseles) while a nurse would point out features on their bodies that needed attending to. Such as their hair or their clothes.

Plaque

Tom

In my opinion the plaque represents a "tombstone' of sorts. The place died in 1994.

Tubes

Tom

Yes, it is a condenser to draw steam off the turbine. Its unlikely that tube failures would be the cause of shutdown however, the replacing tubes is relatively inexpensive. More than likely the station's low efficiency was no longer worth the expense of staffing, fuel costs, etc. There are newer plants that have been mothballed or shutdown for just those reasons.
