Main Entrance

Taubin

Is the curved railing below the stairs another stairway? Like a spiral staircase?

I'd be terrified of that thing slipping onto me while I was walking across the walkway... *shudder*

Toothbrush Cabinet

Taubin

Ahh, the real reason Motts came to this particular place, he had left his toothbrush behind. You can see where it was held on the middle of the right side of the cabinet.

The stained glass throughout this facility is amazing. I love the way the colors splash the walls, floors, and ceilings throughout this set. Absolutely amazing.

Ancient Fan

Taubin

My first thought when I saw this pic was:

"Yeah, I'm just here to change a light bulb"

*reaches up*
*BBBBZZZZTTTTT*

"OH GOD MY HAND!!!!! Can someone grab that for me?!?!?!"

*Taubin wanders off laughing hysterically*

Welcome

Taubin

Are them a pair of (doves?) above the "Welcome"?

Seems to be extremely welcoming. Very serene.

Office

Taubin

This picture really threw me for a loop. It's such a stark contrast to the rest of the series so far. It looks so modern compared to the rest of the building.

Piping

Taubin

I can just imagine a mosquito the size of a hawk flying down the hallway and dive bombing poor Mr. Motts while he was taking this shot.

*stifles a laugh*

Center

Taubin

Reminds me of four sentinels rising up watching over the building.

Sunlit Arch

Taubin

The tubing on the left of the arch reminds me of a robot or something working on the machinery in the middle of the arch. Really cool picture. Almost living.

Alone II

Taubin

When I saw this, I could almost see the little guy wandering around the plant, inspecting the walls for some reason. It looks like the machine is staring at the wall inspecting it for something... Or cleaning it

Tools

Taubin

After working in a dental supply company warehouse for 3 years, the tame stuff like drills doesn't bother me one bit. I can't count the number of times I've picked something up while packing boxes and said what the hell would ANYONE need something like THIS for let alone a dentist.

Them people can get their hands on some really freaky stuff... *shudder*

Corpse Grinder

I about fell out of my seat laughing at the title. My co-worker 2 cubes over came over to make sure I was alright. Priceless. Love the photo and love the caption even moreso

Splayed

Taubin

Cleaned up a bit, this table could be ALLOT of fun. Of course, this is coming from someone who used to have a fully functional dental chair in their bedroom... Man I miss working at accubite ><

Markmaster

Taubin

This was driving me nuts, I did a little searching and found this:

" Make It Custom , Inc. is one of MarkMaster retail web initiatives. MarkMaster was established as a Marking and Identification manufacturer in 1934. Founders Armando and Virginia Govin were children of Cuban Immigrants who came to Tampa in 1905 to make a living in the thriving cigar industry. Located for many years in front of their home in downtown Tampa, the company has expanded into all types of marking and identification products including rubber stamps, daters, name badges, name plates, signs and banners."

Taken from: https://www.makeitcustom.net/about.aspx

I know this thread is kinda old, but, I couldn't go on without attempting to clarify this a little. It was probably used to make nameplates like you see on the outside of offices. It would make sense for a hospital, or school to be able to make these for the dorms.

**disclaimer**
I'm not guaranteeing this information is correct by any means, but, it would make sense to me.

Drip Door

Taubin

Not to drag up old threads, or subjects, but, there were also spectators at the civil war. People would come out to some of the battles with picnic baskets and make a lunch of it. I always thought this was interesting, I never thought of war as a "spectator sport"

Separation

Taubin

One of my favorite shots that I've seen on the site so far. It reminds me of leaving a dreary place, into a calming light. There are very little markings/paint peelings visible on the other side of the doors. Maybe I'm just in an odd mood tonight, which is possible, or the soothing celtic violin I'm listening to, but, this just really struck me as beauty from darkness for some reason. Motts, you sell prints correct?

Shining Sterility

Taubin

If the floor tiles were to be whiter, and the hall wider, I would swear this was the middle school I went to. Odd.

The wall tiling is exactly the same. Only in the older part of the school though. Man this pic brought back some memories for me. I could almost see lockers lined up on the right side, and classrooms on the left.
