Once Navi said 5 1/2 minute hallway, I thought immediately of the song by the same name, done by that authors sister (singers name is Poe). Very fitting. I like this hallway.

The X is obviously where they buried the treasure, duh... Sheesh. If only Motts had peered between the walls, he would be a rich man. tsk tsk tsk

Florid Doors

Taubin

Not claustrophobic, I looked at it again, it increases my anxiety greatly, I really don't know why. Great shot Motts, it's hard to get so big of a reaction out of me from a photo.

Florid Doors

I like the picture, but, I don't like the red doors. I can't explain it, but, it puts me in a state of unease or restlessness. The red on violet... Love the layout, hate the colors.

*scrolls up again*

Claustrophobic, that's how it makes me feel, I can't explain it, it's the red on violet for some reason. Maybe I have issues... /shrug

The Inside

Taubin

Is it sick that this picture makes me giddy? I love the shutter, it looks like a mini-door. I don't know why, but, this picture makes me smile, and laugh a little inside. And to clarify, it's NOT because it was a seclusion room, it has EVERYTHING to do with the shutters. I love it.

*again, anyone seen my meds?*

Clockworks

Taubin

For some reason, I love photo's like this, with the inner workings and mechanics of some of the buildings. Don't get me wrong, I love all of photos on the site (minus the ebil clowns *shudder*) these are just some of my favorites. Great work as usual Mr. Motts

Apex

Taubin

Ahh, Motts shows once again where he and his friend beamed into the building. Otherwise, they would have seen the destruction crew in front, I mean, how do you miss a crane with a wrecking ball....

It's such a cute little fireplace. I want one.

Fissures

It's one of them new fangled therapy tubs Nevermore, ya see, you put the person in the tub, turn on the faucet. The water rushing out of the tub gives them a "stuck in a river" feeling, it's kind of a pain to clean while in use, but, it's a great feeling. Unless they don't know how to swim, than it can have the wrong effect. It's a design flaw that I've been told they have hundreds of engineers working on right now

Relax

Taubin

My grandparents used to have a chair that was VERY much like this one. We always fought over who got the comfy chair when we went over there. Theirs was baby blue though, not puke green. But, they are very comfortable if I recall correctly from my youth.

The Hole

Taubin

The first thing that struck me in this photo, is the way the paint is peeling in the corner. It reminded me of a tree in autumn that was shedding it's leaves. As was stated earlier, I could almost smell the damp, dead leaves when I looked at this photo.

My second impression was, oh, there's a hole in the floor, wonder what that was from.

The Tower

Taubin

There have been quite a few shots on this site that have made my jaw drop a little, however, this one made my jaw hit the table, drop onto the floor, and roll under my chair. Absolutely amazing shot Motts. I am at a loss for words.

This tower reminded me of the Beaumont Tower at Michigan State University

Pardon my newbishness, what is CU?

My first thought, was Copper Underwear, but, I'm sure that's not it, at least I hope not, that couldn't be comfortable.

Ducts

Taubin

I hate to disagree with anyone, however, I have to state that I don't think this could be a lavatory (big word for me). The doors are way to... big... open.. something. And, if it were, that's one hell of a huge crapper (not a big word). Also, the hood on the far right looks more like a stove hood than a wash basin hood. Just my two cents.

*as usual, this and all other statements made by me are just my thoughts and feelings, not meant in any way, shape, or form to disagree with someone or say they are wrong, thank you*

Hydrotherapy Hallway

I love the arched ceiling. I take it this was a connecting hallway between buildings? The windows on both sides seem to be facing outside, if that makes sense. Kind of like a breeze-way

This photo reminds me of the porch at my grandparents old cottage up north. I used to sit out there, near the lake, and just watch the time pass by. Man I miss those days

Reminds me of a roller coaster. I can imagine miniature people sliding down it in a tiny little roller coaster car. WHEEEE!!!!

Treatment Room

Taubin

Ashlen, far too many people make the assumption that EVERY person that was in a hospital like this was given a FFL (Full Frontal Lobotomy) and that simply is not true. I'm not saying it didn't happen, as I'm sure it did to some extent. But, far far too many people make the staff out to be horrible horrible mean evil people that got off on harming others. Simply not true. Look at Lynne, she's kind, caring, and sweet.

I'm not saying you are one of these people, or contradicting (whew big word for me) what you say, I just feel the need to speak up about it after seeing page after page after page of it.

By the way Lynne, I would love a copy of the book, decoder ring, and secret handshake, the check is in the mail.

(Please don't beat me again Lynne, I made you sound like a GOOD person this time)

Only upstairs in the main portions Tonya, I can guarantee they didn't house anyone in the tunnels.

I mean, the doctors and nurses are EBIL but, I don't think they are THAT ebil. Am I right Lynne?
