Perambulation

Talon Godchild

What a delightful way to end a terrible day... coming home to finally check back in with Mr Motts' website...

Cooler

Talon Godchild

Been so long since I've been here, and yet I return to such beauty.
Wonderful job, Mr. Motts.

Morgue

Talon Godchild

What I wouldn't give to see an older morgue - the one where I work is just... I don't know what the word is.
But beautiful, as always.

Drains

Talon Godchild

Actually, when blood is drawn for testing, you'll notice that there's a certain amount of fluid in the bottom of the tube to begin with.
That's an anticoagulant, to keep the blood from clotting within 30 minutes like it usually does.
However, it is highly unlikely that the blood was there from before this place was closed.

Hydrotherapy

Talon Godchild

Well, when you think that our own bodies are usually between 96 and 100 degrees F (98.7 is just a median norm), it isn't quite as amazing. Particularly when one thinks about the temperature for hot tubs and jacuzzis.
Also, heated water is a bit more tolerable, when it isn't touching the head.

Repeating Curves

Talon Godchild

I realize that its probably plaster or paper or somesuch, but... the lighter materals on the floor, scattered like they are evenly against the darker, almost give the impression of light reflecting off water.

Patient Tunnel

Talon Godchild

*shivers*
Reminds me of basement access in hospitals, from the morgues to receiving areas for transport.
Your companions standing there make it all the more eerie - wonderful atmosphere!

Prison

Talon Godchild

Architecture-wise, honestly, this almost looks a bit more befitting a seminary, than a prison.
Odd, no?

Old Morgue

Talon Godchild

A throwback to my profession's humbler beginnings...
Unpleasant as it may be to think of, only having an air conditioner back there, it's a gorgeous photograph. The light accentuates the natural hues of the wood.

Wash Station

Talon Godchild

The large wash basin was actually, most likely, used for running out the intestines... The most unpleasant job anyone in the mortuary industry can ever have to undertake, and the job that most often gets handed off to interns, etc.
One doesn't use the larger, stainless steel sink for that. They don't have the proper water pressure, nor do they drain quickly enough.

Aaand right on the next image, you give me satisfaction :-P

Morgue

Talon Godchild

Ooooh...
Something about it gives me the shivers - more like wanting to see the rest of those shelves (never can remember what the term for those is) opened and slid out.
I know nothing's there, but... call me morbid.

Fallen

Talon Godchild

In a rather morbid way, its beautiful.
And a fitting title for a fallen denizen of the skies.
