C'est tres magnifique!! Unfortunately, the latter of the caretakers didn't see it much as a queen's castle.

(Hmm, can a student still have time to appreciate the architecture while busily studying under an iron fist?)
On the other hand, I've seen some Wonderful castles in England (and palaces in France) that are fixed up soundly enough for tours, so those are places I'd LOVE to have a wedding.

I don't know about ruins, but if...I could get married at Hotel Del Coronado or Grand Hotel Mackinac, I suppose I'd like that a lot...much easier than hoping everyone has sound footwear and no formals get dusty or torn! (My church will do. It's not quite a cathedral and the windows only have a little color, but lots of light, open space.)

Hauntingly, a melody from musical The Boyfriend floats across the empty room in my mind:

This building is a sad one to see even nature demolish :(

Why there would be ceiling supports resembling a highway overpass in a foyer area, I have no idea.
