Seperate 'spigots' too...one each for hot and cold water...

Good use of tax dollars!

Strangely.....I really wish the hospital were still there. I want to go into the darkness, beyond the debris. Damn it Motts! I wish I were there with you!!!!

Session 9

This photo pre-dates a movie I saw with the exact same "type" of shot. Motts, as well as everyone else who reads this, you need to see the movie "session 9".

Also, Motts, I'd like to accompany you with my gear to try to get some EMF readings and maybe record some EVP. Or, maybe you'd like to tag along during an investigation in my area!? Get in touch sometime: dmc5780@yahoo.com

OMG!!!!

I've been in that house!!!! Honest ta God!!! I can't believe you got a shot of that!!!! That house didn't have a tunnel connecting it. Just a basement with a butt-load of medical records. When we went in, the 1st floor was a mess. Kind of like a whirl wind had gone through the place. The 2nd floor was virtually untouched. Almost as if you expected someone to come home. I had my recorders going and captured some really good EVP, footsteps, someone laughing, someone crying...stuff like that. I went by the other day to visit my folks and took a detour...the place is gone. At least I have fond memories of keggers in the place after it closed!

Ward Hallway

Session 9

That's just an old 'High Risk' room door. Those parts of the building wern't used when I worked there. In the early 80's FSH only housed Downs-Syndrom patients and wards of the State of MA. Looks like the East wing which ran North and South, connected to the East side of the main building.

Multicolored Cabinets

Session 9

Brenden, you're almost right. The different colors also represented the different 'wards'. During my stint there as a kitchen aide, that's all the different colors represent. However, earlier on (50's, 60's and 70's - when my grandmother was a nurse there) they were used to show the violence level of a patient and the corrosponding 'ward' they were in. Red was reserved for the 'Most Dangerous/Criminally Insane'. They were also broken down into 'Male/Female' groups.

I have been a long time observer of your site and find the photography fascinating! Kudos to you! Nice job! I grew up in Foxboro and I also worked in the main building (Bldg. #1) as a kitchen aide in the early 80's and used to drive an electric cart pulling a food wagon underground through the main underground tunnel to and from the 'Dexter Building'. I am also a Paranormal Investigator now with a group here in New England. I'm curious, while you were documenting the site did you experience any odd equipment failures during your shoots only to find the problem(s) magically 'fix' themselves apon leaving the area? I can tell you that the battery operated cart would lose its charge on many occasions, usually mid-way through the tunnel! I'm 42 now and all this happened when I was 16. BTW, can you believe that they're turning the place into condos!!??!!
