That is so cool! It almost looks like the bottom half was bleached.

I bet this place smelled.

Shell

I love this place! It's sad they plan to tear it down. I actually saw another gallery with Mesen Castle, and the guy had shot the pictures in either 1999 or 2000. Looks like it's gotten alot worse since then.

Wow, only Motts can make some dirt and trees look gorgeous.

I love this! How could someone scratch this up?

The Camp

C-Note, I've seen another site with a whole section dedicated to the "Mudhouse Mansion". And yes, Motts you should go check it out! I know I'd love to.

A Lush Balcony

Wow..was that a garden at one point? Or is it just weeds growing in accumulated dirt?

For some reason, the door looks like it's in the middle of a wall. The stone floor looks like it's flat...weird illusion!

Nice! Look how small the steps were. They must have had some tiny feet!

Château de Vêves

Now that's beautiful! I really want to go to Belgium now. I've seen other Belgian abandoned photography sites too (though none featured this castle) and all the buildings are wonderful.

Wow, I love this. For some reason I'm reminded of Sleeping Beauty, lol.

Wow, the black & white gives this place a completely different feel.

Grand Staircase

I love this picture. This place is so neat, and unique. I've never seen anything quite like these ceilings!

Stalactites and Stalagmites

Sara B.

Transcendental and nvus...I thought up another way to remember the difference (which earned a round of applause from a tour group I was part of exploring caves in Puerto Rico!)
Stala"C"tites - C as in "ceiling" since they grow on top.

Stala"G"mites - G as in "ground" since those grow on the ground.

Padded Room

Sara B.

Brains and organs?!?! Oh my....

These walls remind me of my middle school gym class. The gym was padded all the way around exactly like this, only the padding was red (came in handy too!).

Yeah they did a pretty good job with that Sharpie too, lol.

I looooove this pic. What a gorgeous place this is even now! Too bad it's going to ruins like so many other wonderful places featured on this website.

This must have been a beautiful room once. I imagine a large mirror hanging over that fireplace.
