in my anatomy and physiology class next semester, we get to go see an autopsy done on a body. going to be pretty damn creepy for me. a friend of mine told me he'd pay me if i ran in and saw the body and screamed out "OHHH NO! THATS WHAT HAPPENED TO UNCLE JOE!!!" ha.

oh was it byberry that was all graffitied? i dont remember now, because well I have been on this site for a good 3 hours looking through photographs and comments. But i wanted to comment on the morgue in byberry, with the graffiti inside the refrigerator box, someone had to be mighty ballsy to go inside, I on the other hand, hate small confined areas... Would of literally made me sick to my stomach to be inside of it tagging the wall.

makes me feel slightly soulless, like when I went in for surgery, and just going through the doors made me feel like, i guess, dead. idk, could never be a mortician, the job would just seem too depressing, I hear plenty of people who train to be morticians, end up getting sick and dropping out. I can see why, the job would absolutely be the death of me. ha ha.

near my grandparents house theres a old hospital out in Hartner KS, and i get the jitters knowing they left all the files of patients, though, had i been ballsy enough, I may have actually gone through them, or rather, gotten close enough to them to go through them haha. good pictures motts, i love this stuff :)

During the cold season this is used as an ice-skating ring! Maybe you wanted to know that ;-)

i was in there less then an hour ago and i googled the place and found this website.. i was in the buildings.. few of them are used for swat team training.. go figured are hard tax money going going 2 a good cause... the buildings i went into where the 1 reck room and a few other office buildings i went into the basments and friends and i found tunnles from 1 building 2 another.. we found tables.. we found chairs that strap people down.. i did not get to the "hospitle" not good with spelling s0rry.. we did not get there be cuz we played a game of cat and mouse with the "security" and we had 2 leave if u know wat i mean.. yes we got away lol anyways next time we go im going 2 the morg.. in the hospitle.. and we went to the grave yard and there is deffently sperits there.. we also found the kitchen and there was files in there on wat the people could and could not eat.. and we also found other files in other buildings and i hate 2 to admit the but i read a few of them.. when i saw what the did to this 1 man i read nomore.. its sad how they could get away treating these people that had mental problems.. eletric shock treatment.. i also found that room 2 infact the chairs are still there hooked up!!! anyways thanks for your site sir or miss.. im gonna rumish through all your pics! have a good 1!

you, my friend, do some amazing work. i have always been interested in abandoned buildings, especialy mental wards, but never found a site that shows the stuctures as they were left. the images are so real that i feel like a patient. this is my first time on this site and i have been on it for about 4 hours. very well put together. thank you for sharing your findings with the rest of us.

The picture kinda takes a back seat to the morbid fascinations of misguided children... kinda sad. People need to grow up. Really.

By the way, the pictures are breathtaking. I applaud the photographer. The hospital is amazing, however it is kinda creepy, as is it's history but its something to be respected at the very least.

Pictures like this are so frustrating. They make it hard for me to pick up my camera because all the very best shots have already been captured by eyes and hands far more talented than mine.

Who would destroy something like this??

The doors were all the same colours on the outside but the inside coordinated with the sideroom decor. That is flotex carpet on the floor but underneath was a lovely linoleum floor that was polished daily.

I worked there for 25 years and roller skated down this corridor several times.
