I know this might be a stupid question but I am 18 and not well educated in the area, but what is hydrochloric acid used for, i'm curious because the only place I've heard of it before was on The New Addams Family when they dropped Gomez into a vat of, I know thats not a good reference but thats why I'm curious...

I've noticed a couple other of these on this site, well I'm not sure how much YOU know about it but as far as I know, those are not EXACTLY for adults, they are for small children who are too big for smaller cribs, and who are in extremely dependent states. ie: When I was real young i got into an accident which is too long of a story to get into right now, I had to get Brain Surgery done and I ended up in one of these for a few days...

What the YUCK!!

You can call me psychotic myself but, it seems a few people who have commented I this pic say how hospitals creep them out and a lot of people seem say the same thing for the same reasons, but I have always loved hospitals for the same reasons people are creeped out by them... I know thats weird but I guess if I acknowledge others points of view I see that I am strange, ha when I was 5 the House on Haunted Hill became my favorite movie, actually I am listening to the soundtrack right now, its really fun to listen to that music and look at these pictures...

My favorite pics are usually the ones in the hospitals, particularly the asylums (sidetrack: which I really feel like putting my sister in right now cause I can hear her singing out in the kitchen right now and its 2 AM! ) but i cant resist my love for old machines and wires!

YAY! I have an old mattress like that I got from the church when I first moved in ti this house, I always knew it was an old hospital bed but now I see it. I don't use it anymore because I have a newer one and it was uncomfortable and sweaty but now that I know that there's a chance an insane person slept in it, I have to get it out of the attic and start sleeping on it again! JOY!! ^_^ -_^ -_- don't judge me...

Don't They just mark the grave "John Doe" or "Jane Doe" when it's an unidentified body, that way you show the person son respect for the dead? the only reason I can think of why it wouldn't say John or Jane Doe is if they didn't even know what gender the person was, and under whatever circumstance they didn't know that is just sad...

When I was 7 me and my sister were in a childrens mental hospital for a short time when etc was still widely done, she had so many problems that they considered ect for her even though she was only 10, she never got etc though and we werent in the much longer after that anyway...

Aww... This brings back wonderfully fond memories of when the family psychiatrist decided it would be BENEFICIAL for me to spend some time in a childrens MENTAL ASYLUM WHEN I WAS 7! HAHA I'm OK

Seclusion rooms are much better then having roommates in a mental hospital. (BELIEVE ME!)

This is some of the stuff I had to clean while I was at the jail.

It would be like a cattle call when sowers were called, There would be 40 guys in there trying to take showers with another 190 waiting.

I used to have to clean this shower three times a day. Hey it was a job for inmates and it sucked

this is the guard tower that overlooked the rec yard and was manned with a armed guard during rec time..

this is where inmates used to hang out, but it looks alot different then when I was doing time there..Thats the main block to the right and west block in the middle sticking out.

you were right..This is where inmates were booked in and released. You were brought in through the big doors then they closed behind you and you knew you were not free anymore........

this is the main rotunda where the visits happend and the brass had offices.
way back in the day this is where inmates were hung,the stairs lead to platforms where citizens would watch the hanging. The last person to die by hanging in massachusetts was hung here for killing his family...

there was really no warden, there was the sherriff of hampden county who ran the jail but did not stay in the "sherriffs house".
They used this place for work release and day reporting inmaes.
