Mr. FryI'm not sure if it was the construction of this tunnel, or something that comes with all tunnels, but when you stood quietly in the center of the tunnel (such as to gaze at this horrifying mural) your breathing would cause this echoing humming that would get deeper the longer you stood there.

littlebear.i think that this is amazing. There are hardly any place like this in Australia that are intact with the history still remaining inside.
Most places have been trashed and spray painted, which i find to be very sad as 'hospitals' such as these are a huge part of histroy and are fasinating. |

Fr. AlWhen a student there I remember a Freshman dropping his laundry bag down this stairwell hitting the fire alarm in the process early in the morning sending us all outside. It was pouring rain.

Fr. AlI was a student at Salesian from 68-72. These rooms are on the third floor of the mansion. I was in one of them for a few days when ill. They would take sick students out of the big dormitory and put them in these rooms until better. The framed area on the left might be a dumb-waiter. They had one in that building. Can't be 100% on that though.

Daniel R.That is freaky. You probably dont want to be in there, because this place reminds me of the dead. Just look at that operating light. I know the place was built in 1902, this type of room was probably added in the 60's or 70's. This place was added on to in the 70's.
