Flooded Hallway

Sometimes they do stink and/or turn a brownish green colour. I've seen water dripping from the ceiling making a plunk-plunk-plunk sound as you walk on by.

I just love these pictures that show the many layers of peeling paint. It also seems that everytime they repainted the place, they used a different colour. The various shades of blue and pink make for an outstanding picture.

It must be a local fad. Here, they make them out of tall spruces and cedars. One of my neighbors has one that he let 'grow out'. Now it just droops.

True. This was once a peach orchard. Beyound that (the trail) was once a flower garden. Gladiolas still grew wild until the neighbors dug them up.

All these houses once looked alike too. With the passing of time, they now all look 'lived in' and a bit different from each other. It takes a good 40-50 years for a neighborhood to pick up 'personality'

It's not that I hate developers. I hate what they do. I've seen them rip apart perfectly good wooded areas. They cut down all the trees and after they put up their 'cookie cutter' homes (they all look the same) they plant these really dumb looking trees that have the shape of a corkscrew.

The glory of reading these comments is that we all see something different through these pictures.

Artistic photography is not made up of just fruit bowls and flower arrangements.

It's Catholic. That's St. Backy, the patron saint of urban exploration.

Ah yes, I too am trying to be good, and not clutter this place up...but...when I read Twug's comment, I just cracked up with laughter again.

It's just a comment, we ~should~ get over it. (LOL)

Book Pile

They're water damaged school books. You wouldn't be able to give them away. Used book and record stores are very picky. They only want certain things.

I stared into this photo, and put myself back some years, and you know what? I'ld be scared stiff to go in there!!! Afraid the doctor looked like that painting on the wall, and he was gonna stick a big fat needle up my rear end that would have me looking like that. (LOL)

Paperwork

Puddleboy

The room looks like several I've visited, where the vultures and looters go through every drawer, every box, and just throw everything on the floor. Are they looking for money? I've never found very much in the way of money in any abandoned building. Only loose change.

Even soap (liquid, of course) will slowly ooze it's way out of the decaying barrel.

Might be a good idea for a movie. Think a sanitary version of 'The Blob'.

Fascinating!!! I thought when they closed places like this, they removed everything and sold it for scrap metal.

I see I was wrong.

I must go take another look at the robot heads chewing gum and blowing bubbles (LOL)
