love the faded sign. motts you're a photographer i inspire to be! its the decrepid places that have the most character, they just reek in history and a wandering mind can imagine some of the wonders and horrors the inhabitants of such places have been subjected to.

what a terrible thing for little children to once have been in a place and situation such as this. children were supposed to be out playing in fields and playgrounds, not locked away in decrepid hospital wards. it makes you shudder doesnt it?

i suspect it was to make sure doctors n nurses could see if a patient was drowning either by accident or deliberately,.
