The Hole

Orchid Lunar

Yes sounds a like Don't Be Afraid of the Dark.He could also be thinking of The Gate though the critters in that came out of a well.

I'll make a deal Thomas when you stop being an idiot we will stop being sensational.Oh wait that won't happen anytime soon!

You know thomas marilyn manson was never"goth"and the whole vampire thing was never part of the real goth movement you saw back in the early eighties with 45Grave and Mephisto Waltz and the like but you wouldn't know about that.I think we can safely say you are a common internet troll out to insult the fine people who enjoy this site.

All children seem to have pica to a limited extent.I even tried eating play dough when I was a kiddo.I think pica might be one of the reasons why paints are not lead based anymore.Kids eating paint flakes with lead in them was not a good thing.

Uh mark this is an abandoned places exploration site not a horror site. Some of the pics on here are eerie true but that isn't what this site is about.

Children

I would not call this pic evil or depressing.Yes the Pit of Oblivion was but this picture is different from the other ones here as it seems to give hope.I wonder who painted all of these anyways? Was it the same artist?

Silenced

Orchid Lunar

I think its mainly the grey and overcast skies that give it that feeling Grace.

No Floors

Looks like something you would see in a German Expressionist film.

Do you have any of your Pennhurst EVP online researcher?I would be very interested to hear them.

Candy Canes

Orchid Lunar

I agree with Rich this is not art at all, just the work of some little wannabe eminem. It is abit like Pennhurst's Candy Cane Dungeon the only difference being the Enchanted Forest was for the most part a happy place whereas Pennhurst never was.

I wouldn't doubt that bats actually do reside here, not vampire bats ofcourse.

Candy Canes

Even if some graffiti could be considered art that surely isn't.Though it does paint the huge contrast of the innocence this place once had and how time has defiled it.Sad,really sad.Alot like life really, how beautiful and innocent it begins but in the end it is ugly and tainted.

Colors of the Ward

Orchid Lunar

Yup it is a pretty creepy place, though when it was running I don't think it looked so foreboding.I find it ironic that alot of these old asylums are some of the most beautiful buildings built yet when they were functioning no one would want to live in them.

Trails

Orchid Lunar

I remember my mother having one of these type bikes,an adult sized one ofcourse. It was this really awful shade of orange. Why did people like such ugly colors back in the seventies?

Stagnant Playthings

I think all kids had that toy in one version or another.I believe my parents even have a picture of me with one of those.

Morgue

Orchid Lunar

In western society you have two attitudes about death mainly. Those who live in terror of it or these stupid kids who deny it's horror.Neither of these attitudes are healthy. One should not live in terror of the inevitable but on the other hand being obsessed with it and saying it is nothing is not a good outlook either.

Morgue

Orchid Lunar

Why do these kids think abandoned morgues are so scary anyways?I've never heard of a haunted morgue. No one dies in a morgue, now hospitals.

Remnants Of Children

Hmm Lynne usually makes very good points but I can see Vivekas view on this aswell.I don't think either is right or wrong.

And how do you know it isn't "spookworld" Michele? You know that everyone involved in supernatural research isn't some lunatic right? What is it with the rash of people with attitudes coming here and ruining the fun of this site?

I don't know what it was used for but I know I might not have been able to resist the temptation to take it home if I were Motts.

Carousel

Orchid Lunar

Out of all the photos on this site the ones of this playroom of horrors were the ones that I found truly creepy and disturbing.Pennhurst I think might be the one location covered here that gives off the biggest feeling of dread.

Candy Cane Dungeon

Orchid Lunar

The people that ran this place could have cared less if the kids had any joy. They were for a large part sadists I would assume and this is what they would think would appeal to children in their twisted minds.
