it's just neat to see that not that much has changed in the layout of hospital rooms

I am an OR nurse and these are still used in many hospitals today. They are used to warm blankets. They are especially helpful if the patient must be quarentined. The blankets and sheets can be stocked for the patient by the linen staff without the germs spreading in or out of the room.
