	Nate I also support the fire theory. Also, the lower hull is generally painted with a barnacle and corrosion-retarding paint which extends its longevity compared to the exposed portions of the hull. The panit on those parts though, probably was burnt away from what I see here. Whether she burnt at sea or in the harbor is a mystery...
