	Motts They were most likely used for patients who could not control thier motor functions to keep them from involuntary hurting themselves and others. There isn't really much of an alternative, except for drug treatment, which hadn't really started taking hold until the 1950's.

	Motts The exterior shots of the hotel in the original movie are of the Timberline Lodge on Mt Hood in Oregon, the interiors were indoor sets filmed in England. The remake was filmed at the Stanley Hotel in Estes Park, Colorado.

	Motts I wouldn't doubt it... Edgewood was practically across the street. These graduates probably worked at hospitals all over New York; I'd imagine Pilgrim State's nursing school was top notch, being that this was the largest psychiatric institution in the US.

	Motts Meh, they were mostly work orders and reciepts for food, machine parts, pipe fittings, etc. It was really neat to see the old headers they used, they were like big detailed etchings instead of crappy little letterheads they have nowadays.
