Tubing, probably for a sink (hot and cold)

From what I understand, Nazism is taken very seriously in Germany, unlike in the USA where kids often group it with anarchism, satanism, etc. to represent rebellion.

I have only seen one location in Germany with Neo-Nazi graffiti so far, and it was very "adult;" no pictures or colors, just messages of hate in black spray paint. It gave the place a pretty creepy vibe.

Crap

Motts

Somewhere on the top (3rd?) floor of the main medical building. I would be surprised if they were still there.

Motts

I always thought it was because they were the draftiest places, but not sure!

Voltage

Motts

I think it's ambient light, perhaps sunlight filtering in through foliage - thanks!

Crap

No, we only checked out one floor here and headed for the older buildings... sounds intriguing though.

Lush Landscapes

Motts

I think I passed over those letters, being astounded by the view of the buildings... interesting, I'm not sure what they read.

Yes chain link is really a waste of money if no one is watching it. The more one puts up, the more places become available for a quick hop on over, or a few snips for the non-jumping types. It isolates the building from the public eye... one can even feel safer inside the fence in some situations.

It's really not that difficult to secure a place (as large as Bennett or bigger) at a relatively low cost. Not many people in charge of that situation seem to really sit down and think about it.

Morgue Cooler

No, this was lit by my flashlight - the basement was pitch black.

Shut In

Motts

No, I'm pretty careful about that kind of thing (propping things in the door to keep the lock from engaging)

Thanks - I haven't re-visited PCH since 2005, but it was indeed a neat place!

Probably "smoking area," these are usually designated in day rooms / common areas.

No Privacy

Motts

It's possible - most hydrotherapy tubs I've seen have some kind of jets to move the water around, while these were just ordinary bathtubs, with no securing mechanisms for canvas covers (like these http://www.opacity.us/...ontinuous_bath_time/ ).

Definitely a good possibility!

Most of the original buildings should have been refurbished into condos; personally I haven't been back since this trip to see myself.

Abandoned looking things in mainstream culture that people can easily relate to, I think.

Thanks; this, and the previous three photos are from the same bunker-like structure.

The Old Table

Motts

According to the history I've read, it is not known if the mother gave the morphine injection - and so the person who gave Helga the broken jaw is still a mystery. Some claimed Ludwig Stumpfegger drugged the children, but James O'Donnell claims he was simply a convenient target, as well as too intoxicated on that night (from his book: The Bunker).

Just images in the grime; we stayed pretty far away from other people inside. It might have been a very wise decision: http://www.opacity.us/...indiana_manholes.htm
