Motts, I gotta say, your photos are awesome. Generally how dark is it in here?

Morgue

Mike

We just drove past here the other day, and my friend told me about it. I'd love to go in there and check it out, but looking online, it looks like the grounds span over miles of neighborhoods and golf courses and the like. Anybody have some kind of map or can point me in the right direction as to where to park and what buildings to check out (without getting arrested/shot at, of course)? Some friends of mine want to go. If anybody has been there before and would be able to give some insight or advice it'd be greatly appreciated!

Approved Abbrs

Mike

Not as bad as it sounds... it's a motor function test. Like finger to nose (while standing on a white line on the side of a road!).

Archway

WOW!

Goosebumps

Mike

The images (awesome) would be, in my opinion, much better without the wings. I understand the Cupid theme and all but i'd like to see these same shots with her in an old dirty grey institutional dress carying an old axe or a butcher knife. Morbid, I know.

Stretch

Mike

I can't help but think of how sad it must have been to be a patient in this room; seeing the sunlight shine through the windor (which typacilly brings about good warm feelings) only the sunlight brings the grim reminder: The bars. The shadow brings the bars right in to the room today just as it did back then.
Sorry HELLO, nothing ok about it to me.

Infectious Waste

Mike

I believe this was just used as a regular trash can during the clean up. I can see what looks like an old coffee cup, a pint milk carton and maybe an old surgical hair cover type thing between them. What I don't see are any needles or other bio-hazard type stuff. Looks like regular trash has been put in the container. But who would kick over such a thing. mmmmmmmmmmmm Satin!

Unknown Substance

Mike

Something has splattered against the wall and dripped down on the floor; like something was thrown against the wall. Whatever it was, is gone; all but the fluid left behind to mark the spot where something died.

Portal

Mike

So great. If anyone is curious, the arch over the stage is a proscenium, but portal is fitting for this shot! This is a great gallery.

beautiful!

Funhouse

Mike

That is crazy!! Talk about a good picture. I wonder if that wall was added later to divide the room and that is why it was able to move so much without falling?

Portal

Mike

The theatre shots are the best and your shots far surpass anything else I have ever seen.
Portal works just fine, but the arch around a stage is a proscenium if anyone is curious.

Strangulation

Mike

One of my new favorites.

Help

Mike

This isn't as sad as everyone is making it out to be. It is easy to believe this could be real since the last use of the facility was for drug rehab. I would think for at least the first few weeks no one wanted to be there. This isn't a case of baby being left there by a parent because they couldn't handle a sickness or mental deficiency.

Left alone, those tiles will outlive all of us!

Lean

Mike

It has just been holding on this long waiting for Motts. Now it can fall over with no regrets.

Huggles the Clown

Mike

Since so many people don't like clowns, maybe we can pretend that was the clown treatment room!

Sinister Sun

Interesting that the peeling paint is mostly above the door level.

Ornament

Mike

I love the designs and craftsmanship of the past. So very caring in their arts. Is it ironic the eagle head is facing away from the departments or am I the only one that notices these things?

Chair Facing Corner

mike

I always find it amazing, the random chairs in abandoned buildings. It's almost as if the building is reliving its previous inhabitants.

i want to sit in that chair.

Vacuum

Mike

No matter how strange or expensive it is, you can always count on a piece of school equipment having something written on it with a black Marks-a-lot.
