I am one of the engineers who went in. Full Tyvek suits, reporators and masks. We were in the basement in hatchways under the floor, under the stage, and between the roof/ceiling. The laddar there does go up to a projection room. There were lines on the floor of the main section beneith the bird crap for basketball/volleyball.

I remember skeet shooting in the field across the road adjacent to the Blue Moon buildings I think its a housing development now . I know the lower corn fields that led to the river have houses now what a shame such nice country. The restaurant was not always Lombardis was a country wetern bar combo tough place as I remember.

Jimmy Adducci owned Red Top Lodge just outside Wallkill always said Baccahla he passed from cancer he was a teriffic person spent alot of time with him and his family growing up. Frenchie started with us named my dog after him (with his permission of course). Lynn did the A circuit toby my oldest sister was more the intellectual went on to be a teacher . The Burger Cottage as I remeber was between our house and the New Main house not the pool bungalow next to the bbq pit that overlooked the ring and hunt course. OK here is one for Jamie your uncle Scott and I used to steal the old red jeep after dark and go driving on the back roads ducking the very few state troopers who were around at the time. Also we used to go shooting in the field across from the main house where the horses were turned out, one day your uncle Scott and I were shooting frogs in the pond and I shot at a frog and got your uncles hand instead boy did I have some expaining to do to your grandfather about that. But I will tell you he just about the coolest adult I ever knew, used to call me Mickle always stuck with me , "such a great man"

This is probably one of the unit dayrooms. The lockers were used for storage of items used by staff and patients.(board games, cards, some snacks, puzzles.) Each shift would have their own locker, in addition to one or more that was used by all.

The only pool that I recall was located in the York Wood Center, which was on the northwest corner of the grounds, and was used for juveniles.

Some of those tire tracks were also made by patrol vehicles from the forensic center. We patrolled the grounds until the demolition crews finally took over. A very spooky place at night. Inside the buildings was a multitude of various noises. Dripping water, animal movement, birds, wind blowing loose materials. You always felt like something was about to grab you from behind.

Rooms with the dutch doors usually consisted of either the ward office, medication room, and or the treatment room. They weren't always the same on each unit.

He already answered in the previous picture, there was, Uh Hum,,, no-body home. If you look back at the previous picture, you will notice it's closed. Motts had to take a peak inside, that's why it's partially open in this picture. But it does have one wondering, why, what & who was once in that thing.
