Creepy Elevator

Michele

LOL @ "is there where they sent unruly patients to scare the crap out of them?" and "I think its safe to say that this elevator could scare the shit out of you?"

This shot is just awesome! OMG, what starkness! So creepy, too!

You all are funny!

I love this shot - I can almost feel the empty, cool air and the musty "old" smell in this room.

Hi, Lyric & Serrena! Thank you for the warm welcome, I really love it here!

I, too, thought it was around the late 1800s and the Turn of the Century, too, Lyric. Very interesting archetecture (sp?)!

Very nice!

First thought that popped into my head, though, was "Mexican Sombreros"!

I've been a big Opacity fan since last year April '05, but, have made very few posts (quiet respect). I just gobble up every photo and every gallery for hours on end!

Motts, you are absolutely wonderful, talented, and truely has what it takes to have an ever-growing fan base!

Now, this place is jumping with lively talk, so I am chiming in! *waves to everyone*

Now, for my question...I either missed Mott's notion in his description, or it was left out: Does anyone know when this place was built?

Thanks! *passes chocolate to all*

Ward Hallway

Security is tight because some asshats went up there and started a fire. Not to mention the swarms of drunken idiots parading through peoples backyards thinking they are going ghost hunting........It isn't spookyworld up there so grow up and act like adults. You will be arrested if caught up there. The residents in the area are not putting up with the charades anymore. You've had fair warning people - end of story.

cutieeme Sunday, 09-18-05- Shame on me not....That atrocity up on the hill has brought nothing but aggravation and trouble for those who live in the immediate area and you'd have a different attitude if you lived in a beautiful home there and had to deal with goth weirdos tromping through your yard at all hours in attempts to get at the place. The people who live in the area have had to put up with drunk thrill seekers and wise ass punks who come around at all hours making noise and destroying personal property in some cases, and of course they don't give a crap about others and thats why I and my neighbors all have pretty much the same attitude. I can tell you this right now people. Three young men were arrested recently. They were lucky because if I find anyone trying to crawl up to that place in the wee hours on my property they're going to wish the police caught them first.

Dunno how you got in there but you got some big bawlz on ya. I know someone who lives within a close view of the place and they tell me theres tight security 24/7 with violators being arrested. I'd never buy a condo there I'll tell you that much. Creepy as hell. I'd bet it's haunted too since I'm sure some violent murders took place behind those walls. Gives me the willies just thinking about it. Good work Mr Motts.

Creepy looking joint for sure. I feel bad for the people who live nearby who have to look out their windows at that atrocity. Good riddence. They can't tear it down soon enough if you ask me. I know at least one other person who would emphatically agree. You know who you are if you read this. : - )

Maybe the windows were to let light into the shower area? There aren't light fixtures above the showers."

I would have to agree with Cow...the windows appear to be opague/frosted.

Interesting!

I haven't looked through this gallery yet! I have been dropping hints to Motts here and there throughout his site about publishing a coffee table glossy!!!

Oh, please email me "redwoodv" at that hot mail place to let me know if (and when) you do go for that idea! I'll buy TWO of them! :o)

Thank you, thank you, thank you for this wonderful site, Motts!

Plywood is generally sold in six-foot sheets, so that is probably why it is a foot short! How funny!

Good thing, though, so you have light to take those awesome shots.

The title "Chaos" comes to mind upon seeing this photo. Simply gorgeous!

Motts, how careful are you when you get around treacherous floors like this? Do you slowly creep in, testing each step, or do you more or less stroll in (albiet carefully)?

I would be like hugging the walls!
