Many of those files were left behind by Allied Products Corporation. Others were probably left behind by a company by the name of EWI. Allied acquired the stamping plant from Studebaker in 1963. Allied operated the plant as South Bend Stamping until 1991 when it sold the stamping business to EWI. Allied continued to own the building housing the stamping equipment as well as a couple other former Studebaker buildings. EWI went bankrupt in the mid 1990's. Allied stored records at the facility until it went bankrupt and turned the buildings it owned over to the City of South Bend.

So the mystery is over. R A D A R.

I work at an Army-Navy store in Massachusetts, we got the same machine in the back room. The boss paid a lot of money for it, something like $1000 dollars or so. The one in your picture sure would be good for spare parts...

I live across the river from the site, The Stack at the boiler plant was blown up last wend 12-7-0, 5. The Hosptial is really visable from my River front house now.

How do you know this is a sonar? ICouldnt it be a radar repeater? Vinatge surplus scanning sonars were rarely used on commercial vessels. Too much hassles with the hoist mechanism, packing glands to keep water out, transducer dome easily damaged if you strike anything (like logs) when lowered. The low frequency sub detecting scanning sonars werent very useful for commercial fishing, I never saw one on anything other than a Navy boat. Might be a sonar, just wondering....

well y'know it's fine, if they didn't like being publicly bathed then they could just be beaten up and deprived of food. after all they did only have their patients best interests at heart ey!

i felt the sprits around me the whole time i was in this place...its just a rush of cold air and compression passing by as u walk through the pitch black with small light source guiding you through

gettin to the morgue was the easiest room to find in the whole place....i was amazed when i walked into this room...its just so weird knowing your in a room where dead people used to lay! freaky...

to the right is a flooded stairway that u cant get through...to the left the morgue awaits you...take a peak if you dare!

its not even flooded ne more...its all dried out and spacious...this is where we were when we heard the bloody screams coming from the other room!!
