Hydrotherapy

Lyric

Please, don't be embarassed Lynne. I am finally learning things about the human brain that has fascinated me for many years.
What's better is that I am learning to appreciate all the work that goes into Mental Health Care.
I know that it is a field that is sorely in need of the right kinds of people to go into this section of medical care.
I have also learned more about the old ways of treating illnesses, and that it isn't the 1800's where you can be a lobotomy candidate for masturbating.
You do Motts, this site, and us a great service by being here and working to advocate proper treatment and care of the patients. I am proud to read your comments and rally behind you as you remember to {thump} us all on the head with the knowledge you posess.

Thank you very much for all you do, both here and on your job.

Cell Door

Lyric

it is a very narrow door. However, in some of the very old jails. Department of Corrections didn't have humane guidlines as to how big a cell must be.
Often, all they contained was a cot and barely room to walk past it and out the cell door.

Lyric

Let us not forget that these same idiots that go in and trash things will have to explain to the local ER where they were when in their own limited intelligence got hurt because they thought they were being "cool".

Which will only result in these locations being more heavily patrolled by more than just security, and in some cases will bring the date with what ever development company has plans for them because the company won't want to pay out anymore hazard insurance than they already have to.

Which will of course take the real explorers and push them out, or worse, get them caught.

Come by when you can Lynne.. I wasn't sure if it would catch on or not.
Either I will be around or Serrena. I really don't care who opens it up.
It's for everyone to use.

Autopsy Table

Lyric

Surprisingly enough they are only just wider than the average human. Think the size of a twin sized bed, but a bit longer for plumbing and sinks.
Most have holes like this one, or they have gutters in the sides of the table, with smoothe steel under the body.

Ed's Tag

Lyric

There are rare occasions in which graffitti is art, when most often it is vulgar.
It's not something that I would condone on a building that is still in use, or one that is a historical landmark that isn't going anywhere, because of preservation work.
But, when it's got a date with the wrecking ball, and it is a tradition then..... It can be fitting.

Speaking of tradition and tags. Mr. Motts, I can't wait to see what treasures you gleaned from MCD in my hometown of Motown.
I used to explore in there often before I moved west, but never had the forethought to take a camera.

Morgue Doors

Lyric

Thing- Most Morgues or other body storage facilities are in the basement of subbasement of buildings, to keep them away from the prying eyes of the living. As well as to shelter the living from seeing what could be a less than pleasant end to someone's mortality.

You can do a general serach for TB on the internet. Contact your local health department for outbreaks in your area. Speak with your regular doctor. You can even search for information through Centers for Disease Control. (CDC)

Sadly, Tuberculosis is not dead yet.

Solitary

Lyric

I've been reading and finding that this is a group that I could learn alot from.

I've explored a few places in my hometown when I still lived there, but I never had the foresight to take a camera with me.

Now all that I have to explore where I live are old Gold Mines.... And there isn't much interesting inside a hole in the ground.
