Faded Stripes

Ugh - very claustrophobic feeling.

Tomb

Lynne

I was going to be impressed at how well the tombstone had held up over the centuries, but then I re-read your comment that's it's relatively new. Still pretty damned impressive that anything is still there after all these years.

OK, this is a definite favorite! I love the lighting, and spiral or circular stairways are always the best!

Serenity

Lynne

Ha! And I had just commented on the serenity of the surroundings several panels back. Mebbe I better looka all the pix 'fore I comment. :-)

Pillars

Lynne

Whoa! Now I could get into worshipping at a site like this! Makes me want to look for chicken entrails or something. Quite magnificent, both the site and the shot!

Path to the Ruins

So restful and serene looking . . . .

Acccckkkk!!! Pook bucket!

Stage

Lynne

It's interesting when you think how knowing where a location is makes you look a photo differently. Because I knew this was in Germany and from the WWII era, I was put in mind of prisons and concentration camps because of the bars on the structure, whereas had I thought it was somewhere else I would have just assumed it was a normal security precaution. Makes me examine my preconceived biases.

A well-deserved reward!

Idol

Lynne

Super angle, great colors, a real feeling of height, power, and heaviness.

Shit. VERY nice.

Superstructure

Lynne

Definitely an "action shot," even though everything in the shot is still.

Streaked

Lynne

The buildings and structures in this shot appear to be very nicely built. You can tell that a lot of work went into the buildings and that they have held up better over time than many modern buildings built with "superior technology" probably will.

Help! Pook pan, someone!

Under the Stairs

Lynne

Nice abstractions produced by the lighting, color, and angles. This is a VERY complex shot - multi-layered - although it doesn't seem so at first glance. I can see it multiple times and look at it in a different way each time.

Cut

I agree that this would make a great album cover.

Winch

Jebus! Another great use of light, perspective, color, and texture! The red brick in the background caps the shot.

Cascading Invasion

Lynne

Wow! Another great shot! The contrast between the various textures and colors with the abstract designs made by the plants and the perfect lighting really makes this shot.

Absolutely one of your best shots ever!

Fla. Gator,

As you can see, the "politically correct" labels change all the time. Several years ago people "were" mentally retarded. Then more recently they "had" mental retardation. Now the term "mental retardation" has been replaced with "intellectual disability", so the person "has an intellectual disability." So you see, it depends which week you are writing in as to whether you are politically correct or not. ;-)

Trap Door

Lynne

Well, that room sure creeps me out. I don't care if you could see inside and it was empty, I would just get the feeling that something was waiting down there.

Too damn many grade B horror movies . . . . . .

Yellow-Green

This is amazingly comforting, after the other shots. Very calming and welcoming. I like your play of colors and angles.

It's like being inside a giant snake . . . . quite excellent, actually.

Superb line-up for this shot - it just goes on and on and draws you in!
