The Yard

Kassie

Yes, this place looks almost rather exotic and tropical, even though I know that it is not.
I really do love this shot.

Cotton Candy

Kassie

Motts, I think that selective colouring was the perfect idea for this shot. It's really quite...I don't know. I like it, a lot.

Isolation Block

Kassie

I concurr with Lynne. It's almost as if you're looking down and forward at the same time.

Newer Cell

Kassie

How odd...there is a toilet, yes, but where, pray tell is the sink, Mr. Motts? Did they have one in the cell?
I am tempted to leave my mind at rest, saying it's the thing above the toilet, but I'm just not sure. Could you clear this up, please, Mr. Motts?

Symmetrical Staircase

Kassie

Wow, that is a mindfreak and a half!

Cup Of Toast

Kassie

That is a very strange sight indeed. o.O

Lever

Kassie

Something rather trippy about this photo, in my opinion, is the fact that the peeling paint has taken on the form of the bricks, and therefore looks as if it's brick style wall paper.

Shadow Box

Kassie

I must admit, this looks rather sinister, indeed. Imagine how your heart would stop, in a shadowy basement like this, if you were to go to the shadow box and open it to find one single knife missing...?

Scald Hazard - Sinks

Kassie

Barbara, you're not alone. I saw the exact same thing for a second.
I don't know why, but the mood in this picture seems rather melancholic, and somewhat violent.
I suppose that is due to the monochrome, and the broken mirror.

Reflection

Kassie

Jeez, Mr. Motts. Amazing. This is another one of my very favourite pictures that you've taken. It really does rock, and I'm so glad you shared it with us!
These images are completely mind blowing to me, I really do love them, especially when you get that reflection effect, it just looks freaking amazing.

Garage Door

Kassie

Holy crap Motts, I don't know if it's because I'm completely out of it or what, but this shot confuses me...Though, today, that isn't the hardest thing in the world to do. I love it though.

Stairwell

Kassie

I would personally buy two or three calendars if you were to ever make one, Mr. Motts. One for my room, one for my locker and one for at my Dad's place.
It'd be a good way to get your work further into the public eye, and then you would have a beautiful opportunity with making a book!
I'll support ya 100% of the way!

Pull Hard

Kassie

You know, that whole sign is like one big freaking innuendo. Haha, naughty Power Plant People.

Office

Kassie

I always find it rather spooky to see an abandoned building where the lights are still working in some places. Very creepy, if you ask me.

Growing Between the Cracks

Kassie

Ahh, nature reclaiming man's structures. A classic struggle.

Oh, an EziliGede...I think there was a song that went, "Evil grows in the dark, where the sun, it never shines. Evil grows in cracks and holes, and lives in people's minds."

Sorry, I just had to. That song is like...perfect for your question. It looks like a baby tree to me! So cute!

Vignetted Smokestacks

Lynne, that was awesomely clever. Nice one. ;)

Number 17

Kassie

I happen to love the stains and markings on the wall (s) all over this place, and this picture just enhances them, really brings them out and show cases them at their very best.

Not Much Left

Kassie

Ooh, Mr. Motts, you've done it again, with another one of those shots that I just get stuck on and become entranced with. I love this one. I'm not sure why, but I just do. It's really just...it draws me into it, and really doesn't let me let go.

Turbine Hall Panorama

Kassie

This one is definatly one of my favourite panoramas that you've done, even though picking a favourite is infamously hard to do.
*whistles in awe*
I can't get over the green accents (slime? mould? moss?) near the ceiling.
Totally amazing, for sure.

Arched Entrance

Kassie

There is something about this shot, and I don't know quite what it is...but it's beautiful. I really have a hard time looking away from it, because it just captures the eye and doesn't let go.

Lean

Kassie

What a pleasant surprise, Mr. Motts! This is quite a unique take on the Lonely Chair shot.
It has quite a lot of personality in this shot, as if the chair is contemplating the wall, and the decay all throughout the room around it.
I've said it before, Motts, and I'll say it again. Beautiful, amazing, breath taking.

Alone II

Kassie

You know, I find the patterns of rust on the floor to be rather interesting. It gives this photo a very rich quality.
The shadows on that piece of machinary are quite beautiful in themselves, and then the way the picture goes off into black is just amazing.
Over all, I would have to say that this is a very successful photo, indeed.

Alone

Kassie

Aww, Mr. Motts, this picture truly does look lonely. Even though it's just a piece of machinary, it really did tug at my heartstrings. I think this shot is just absolutely beautiful.

Industrial Jungle

Kassie

You know, I must say, this shot makes me think of the spinal column or cord of a large, metalic beast.

Flooded

Kassie

I must say, I love how you captured everything in this picture, especially the mist. It gives it a very eerie, if not mystical look to it.
All in all, a very beautiful picture.
