Kassie

I personally love this angle, and the fact that it was done in black and white. It really does set a nice mood for the photo. Great job!

Collapsed Floors

Kassie

The level of decay right here must have been immense. Just...wow.

Rotting Hull

Kassie

This hull makes me think of some sort of monster's mouth. Maybe the monster was sentenced into a hell he did not belong to, but he looks as if he wants to warn others before it's much too late.

Standing Tall

Kassie

This ship looks rather proud that it has not yet succumb to the fates of her sister ships, now, doesn't it?

Hoist

Kassie

Oh my heck! ~Me, you noticed that too? I thought I was going crazy when I saw that shadow.
It leaves much to the imagination, story wise, doesn't it now?

Water Window

Kassie

Indeed. My gosh, that it just such a unique shot. I like it a lot, Mr. Motts. It's beautiful and seemingly holds a life of it's own.

Ferry Entrance

Kassie

How very eerie this ferry looks...not as happy as most imagine. I could imagine a cult gathering within it.

Metal Forest

Kassie

I must agree, it does resemble a metal forest, like one of those dead wood forests that always rise out of the swamps. Amazing picture.

Depth

Kassie

I couldn't have said it better myself, Lynne.

The Bayou Plaquemine

Kassie

It looks so magnificent, and helpless at the same time, like it's trying to escape it's inevitable fate.

Red

Kassie

Oh my, Mr. Motts, of all the things that you have photographed, this is going to be the one that makes me the most uneasy. I have a strange phobia of what lies beneath the water, and these pictures just seem an awesome way to illustrate this feeling.

Storm Clouds

Kassie

Mr. Motts, I want to thank you for taking this picture. It really reflects how I feel right now, and I love it. Thank you.

Imminent Collapse

Kassie

That is the posterchild shot of why these places can be so dangerous.
I absolutely love it. Great job, Motts.

Closets

Kassie

Methinks I wouldn't wanna test the floors here, for sure.

Downward

Kassie

AutumnTwin, I had the very same thought! Dear Mr. Motts must be very courageous indeed.

Facade

Kassie

As always, an amazing gallery, Motts. Thank you so much for sharing with us.
As always, I'm faithfully awaiting the next gallery to come up.

Much Love,

--Kassie.

Chapel

Kassie

I agree with Grace, as much as security sucks, it adds a definatly interesting blurb to the photo. I, myself, am more interested in the ominous looking sky.

Connection

Kassie

Bas, my best guess is that it was at one time a shed or add on that was placed there and then taken down when it's purpose was no longer necessary.

Pediment

Kassie

Mr. Motts! Another breathtaking shot. I do, infact, love this shot to death. :)

Chamber

Kassie

Hmm, that is very strange indeed. I was thinking something to do with hygenics...just because the style of glass. It is very odd though.
One may never know.

Checkered Floors

Kassie

Mr. Motts, there is something I've always wondered. Maybe you can clear up my curiousity? Why was checkered flooring so popular in asylums?

Toothbrushes

Kassie

Yes, ~Me. I was thinking of that as well.
Morbid as it is, I would like to obtain "Graves"' toothbrush.

Watch Your Step

Kassie

Motts, what you said not only sounds fairly poetic, but it is also very true. There must be some false sense of security in that feeling, yes?

Red And Blue

Kassie

The blue lighting looks so ghostly, like it would have to be photoshopped in, or edited in to create that image. I'm in total awe of this piece.
Great job!

Gaping Hole

Kassie

Oh my heck, Motts, I'm at a total loss of words for this picture. It's totally...just....amazing.
Perhaps it would be a great piece to use as a wallpaper?
