GOOD ! Thank you Andrew for responding.

I hope that they turn this land into a nice park with trees and running water.

Casket

Joseph

As a Soldier I have taken part in several burials as a member of the funeral detail or as the Army likes to call it; Ceremonial Detachment. And to think: that some of the dead soldiers that I have buried are lying down on straw like a cow in a barn is horrible.

When it is time for me to die I will go to the funeral parlors and cut open the lining of the coffin and see what is inside of it. I will now have to do research on coffins and see what other types of materials that are used to fill up a coffin.

Number Forty Faces the Darkness

Joseph

Hello Patricia, how are you ? Thank you for responding.

When I look at these photographs that are on this website I almost always try to write the very first thing that pops into my head. That way it is the most candid comment possible. I have written several comments so far. "Mott" seems to have a very good eye for taking photographs. I on the other hand just snap away with a camera. Every once in awhile I take a photo that I actually think is good but that is few and far between. This is a great website ! I am glad that someone is preserving these buildings with a camera. Some of these old buildings have some great architecture. Hopefully some of these buildings will be re - used again.

Take care and thank you.

Platforms

Joseph

My very first thought when I took one look at this photograph was the movie "Star Wars".

Those platforms jutting out like that remind of some of the large ships in the Empire's fleet.
I can just see Darth Vader standing on one of these platforms cursing Han Solo.

Are there more rooms like these two ?

That painting of the flowers looks like the cheap kind of painting's that are found in the hundreds cheap motels throughout America.

Those two extra large snowflakes hanging from the ceiling somehow seem to overshadow the would be Holiday activities.

They are very out of place.

Ocean View

Joseph

The first thing that I think of is that this door could lead to a Retro - 1960's Coffee Shop for a bunch of "drugged - out" and "burned - out" old hippies who still cannot find their way into the modern world of the 21st Century.

You can still find alot of these old hippies in Nothern California, Oregon and Washington all along the Western Coastline.

Some of these old hippies still live in tents and youth hostels. I have picked - up several of them hitch - hiking along Highway 101 and dropped them off at their designations to include buying them something to eat like sandwiches, fresh fruit and vitamins.

Apparatus

Joseph

Where is this building ???

The reason why I ask this question is because of the electrical plug.

If I am not mistaken, it looks very European in it's design and shape.

Also the electrical outlet itself looks European in it's design and shape too.

I wonder........................................................

Niche Painting

Joseph

I would have to say that who ever painted this mural might have been tripping on LSD at the time.

The tree is growing at strange angles.

The bird on the lower left looks like it is fake and has been placed on a stick.

The birds on the lower right look like they have been forever attached to the tree.

Who is the woman in blue ?

I hate that hand rail.

This stairway somehow makes me think that I am in the subway or "the tube" in London.
