Skyline and 93

Joseph

Another unreal Mott photograph !!!

How do you do it ! ? ! ? ! ?

My very first reaction to this photograph is how scary this building looks.

It has the look of a building that is waiting for lost travelers so that the evil demons that dwell within can devour the helpless victims and capture their souls forever.

This is the third photograph with clean floors. Were these photographs taken very soon after this building was closed down ?

Grounds

Joseph

They should save this building and turn it into a small college. What a really nice landscape setting this could be.

Frank - pgh; Thank you for responding.

Thank you for saying thank you for serving the United States of America. You are very welcome. I have only been to Kuwait at Camp Doha, Camp Virginia and Camp Arifjan. though. I have not been to Iraq yet.

I have had the chance to serve at several Forts in the United States and in a few countries in the World though.

Thank you again.

Castle Painting

Joseph

Well Scolopendra; I guess that you are right about the wall murals and paintings. But still you do have to admit that there was and I am sure that there still is alot of abuse and mistreatment of the men, women and children who were and still are so called "taken care of by the State".

Hidden

Joseph

Yes SKN, I now see that light from the window on the right. It sure is strange because I do not remember seeing that light before. I guess I just did not pay very good attention to this photograph before. That is not like me because I usually try very hard to be observant of situations.

Ceiling Clock

Joseph

No matter how I look at it that clock it just is not the right place for it to be. The clock hanging from the center of the cieling of gives a person the feeling of industrialness.

Bathtub

Another bathtub in the corner.

They never ever seemed to give these people any room, what so ever, for any kind of privacy.

Hey Kiddies

Joseph

Here's something odd. The playgrounds that the children play on, on some of the Army bases look very preety much like this playground.

Way too much plastic if you ask me !

Fenced In

Joseph

What a HORRIBLE place to be in !

That fence must have looked liked a giant claw looming over the patient just waiting to clamp down on him or her. All of the landscapes in these institutions need to be completely redone.

Good God ! Did anyone ever really sit in these chairs ? They look like a person could sink into them and never get out again.

Apparatus

Joseph

Thank you for responding Colin.

I thought that those electrical plugs were European in design. I just went to "google maps" to see where Sunderland, England is. Sunderland looks like a nice place. It does not look anywhere as busy as London. This website is just super !

Thank you again.

Fluorescent

Joseph

Nee; thank you for responding. Now when I take a second look at it I now see that it is an overhead light. I don't know why I did not see this before. These photographs by "Mott" are so great ! Now that Spring Time is here and Summer is coming I should drive around Europe and see if I can find some old buildings and take some photographs. When I take the train around Germany I see some old train stations but it is illegal to walk around the railroad tracks. I sure that there are some old vacant buildings around somewhere.

Thank you again and take care.
