Johnny Mac

The vaulted ceilings and the fragile columns are a nice touch to a sorta remarkable building. Not inspirational but impressive. Motts you are always the best of the best.

A miner would put his personal crap in these these little compartments before they went down and probably left there miner caps when they left. They had the kind of compartments in Spinghill Novie . Mott's, check out Springhill, Novie, has lots of possibilities for the master.

How majestic and how awful. Many years ago I went on a tour of the coal mine in Springhill Nova Scotia after they had closed it because of a bump in the early fifties. It killed many miners and it was the talk of the day. It never opened again, but they had tours of it by an old coal miner who gave us miners hats and the rest of the garb to keep us safe. The house up above the mine kept the clothes and the mining lamps that they had used on that fateful day and me old lady found it damp, dark , and a experience that we shall never forget 400 ft. below the earth. What a majestic peice of bullshit over such misery. Motts you should do spell it out. What the hell would I do without a pro like you.

The luxry ship from l937, the Titanic. No matter where I go with this I see the cruise ships of the 30's. The decks, the deck chairs, the captain at the helm and ready to sink at any given time. It's the coolest, imaginative series of photos that just hits home. Again, Motts, you are the best. Onward and upward my man.
