I couldn't resist being the first comment on a photo =D
That's one dusty old projector, wonder what kind of films it would show back in it's hayday.

Center Stage

the other buildings were pitch black and moldy to the point where it was difficult to breathe inside.... yeah and it most likely wouldn't have been good for the lungs.

File Room

Johnnsy

I almost got a job as a chart filer at a doctor's office a few years ago. This photo makes me quite glad I didn't land that job...

Filthy

wow, there's an outline of what looks to be the small of someone's back in the chair. Almost like the dust just gathered around them....

Standing Wheelchair

Johnnsy

I agree. All that equipment is just laying around, waiting for someone to pick it up. It's odd how everything was just left behind.

Lean Forward

the background reminds me of a locker room after a team had just suffered a heart breaking loss.

Ramps, Ramps, Ramps

Johnnsy

looks to be some sort of light fixture maybe or perhaps just a piece of the ceiling on it's last legs. that's my guess.

Appreciation

Johnnsy

going crazy with the chairs in this place huh? haha those folders in the bottom left of the picture... were those just more of the same? lawsuits and records and whatnot? That wall in the back there adds a great touch, the boards slowly succumbing to time, revealing the raw skeleton within the wall.

Antique Robots

that gray machine on the right looks as though it may start right up with a couple of well placed kicks.

Germination

Johnnsy

wow. look closely at the floor. it's like, a geographic map. the green mold the land and the blue on the side there is the ocean. haha and standing in the middle of the continent is a chair fit for a god. Very thought provoking picture, Motts.

Flux

Johnnsy

oh well this is simply an amazing shot, it includes so much. you got the hallway, a door with paint peeling slowly off, another room with an arched ceiling off to the right, and the odd looking fallen light fixture in the foreground. my favorite of this gallery so far, yet so many more pics to come, can't be too quick to judge! =)

Johnnsy

that floor looks weird. like all bumpy or like there were rocks scattered onto it.

yeah, pretty plain exterior. but oh, what a wonderful day! not a cloud tainting the sky. I love those kind of days...

at the end there, did that lead outside? it looks rather bright down there.

Emptied

Johnnsy

haha good point Andrew. Although I think you'd have to have a prolonged exposure to those things for them to have any effect on you.

wow, it looks like this floor has no limits. It just fades off into darkness. We see the factory at it's peak (during time of operation) in the foreground, as time goes by, it empties out, and darker it gets down the hallway, and eventually, all is lost, the facility is closed, and there is nothing but solemn darkness.

Centerview

Johnnsy

wow, that facility was massive! and i love the comparison that goes throughout the years. gives some great insight as to what went on here, and now through Mott's photograph we see the same spot in a dark time indeed, nearing it's demise. I agree with the people who say it looks like an abandoned city as well. Awesome perspective.

ahahah! yes, i love that scene in Jacob's Ladder! thanks for bringing that up, that's awesome...haha. =D
