I am not sure if anyonr really checks this message board anymore but these were the carts that I believe were used in an underground baggage subway that left the terminal, went under the tracks to each platform where there was some kind of access door to put the baggage on the trains baggage car. I would love to see if some one could find this passage way system and post pics of it

The bottle of disinfectant appears to be empty either through use or evaporation over a long period. The paint chips and/or insulation are a more serious hazzard considering the age of the facility. Do not judge the forest by a fallen leaf, but by the whole.

I live pretty damn close to that hospital. I've driven past it, through it, but never went in. Kings Park Psychiatric Center is another one that I would like to "Visit" one day.

For whatever reason this is in Russian not German. The top line says Breathing. The first half of the 2nd line is indecipherable. The last half of the 2nd line says benefits. First half of the 3rd line is indeciperable but the last word on the 3rd line is probably department.

In trade I have an extremely rare WSY0023 Fluxmeter No. 1, made in England in the 1930's it may be the only example, I cannot find another after 8+ years of searching. The Bakken Museum was all over it and wanted me to donate it when I just wanted some information. It needs a proper home in a collection. jc

Oops, an ideal unit would be a G.E. Dental X-Ray machine from 1929.

I am looking for an antique dental x-ray machine for a physics project. The ideal unit would be a 1927 G.E. dental X-Ray machine in working order, with manuals. Or a comparable unit, possible a Victor. I know that the insulating material degrades and there will be some restoration work involved in order to get it safely operational.

"Not enough money" is a lousy excuse. It would have taken 10 minutes with a hammer and chisel to add the patient's last (or first) name. Then at least they wouldn't have been buried under a numbered grave like a common criminal that the state is ashamed of and wishes to anonymize.

Seriously, I can't comprehend the tiny-minded Puritan moral sickness and shame that would cause an institution of doctors to toss another a long-suffering patient's body in a hole with just a number like a euthanized dog.

Hydrotherapy was supposed to serve as an adjunct to the sedatives and tranquilizers that existed in the pre-Thorazine age. The most common form was prolonged baths, in which they basically strapped down agitated patients in warm water for hours a day in the hope that it would calm them down. Catatonic patients got ice baths or ice wraps for the opposite reason. Neither one worked very well, but that's why you see so many hydrotherapy tubs in turn of the century era psychiatric institution.
