Wandered Far from the Office

Motts continues to express his faintly distrubing lone chair fetish via exceptional photography.

Motts, what is it with you and chairs? You've reached the point where chairs are practically the first thing that comes to mind when people think of you. It's like this:

I guess it's true that Motts considers no gallery complete without an exquisite lone chair shot.

Projector

If anyone would mind bringing that out, I've got a lot of really old (circa mid 1960s) home movies I'd like to watch. It seems the only place you can get a film projector is in abandoned schools for the mentally disabled.

I believe there is some asbestos, but you should wear a mask even if there is not. Better safe than sorry - or dead.

If i had the money to order a print, I wouldn't mind putting this on my wall.

Why is it that all dentistry equipment looks oddly sinister? Does fear in the patient have some strange unknown effect that makes the dentist's job easier? Or, as I have long suspected, maybe dentists are strange demons from the fires of hell who subsist on fear and uneasiness. Look around. The evidence is everywhere.

"Tell us where you have hidden the item, Mr. Motts, and we will spare you much pain......"
My apologies for the spontaneous bad joke.

Lone Stack

"Are those orbs? Sorry - Couldn't help it."

No, that's the "glare" from something called the "sun". It's a natural source of "light" and "energy". This is not meant as in insult, I just couldn't resist stating the obvious. Sorry if it comes across as rude.

I concur with the people concurring with the people who concurred with the first commenters. Incredible shot.

True urban speleologists never vandalize. Vandals are nothing more than common criminals in my opinion.

too small for that, look at the relative size of the dials/switches. Looks like an old ASW-style sonar

thank you, fb jim. Somehow, knowing their names and some of their history just makes these ships seem......different, somehow.

the two ships are drawing comfort from each other in their long seclusion. Better to be dying with a friend than stuck alone in some museum.

The Abram Hewitt

It's nice to remember this old girl. She was mighty proud and pretty when she sailed. She had a long life, too. Still, it's sad that she's just sitting there, rotting away.......

I'd hate to see my boat end up like this. Extremely sad, but a good shot nonetheless.
