The frustrated slashes of a misunderstood soul. (even if not quite sane)

The path to rehab, the floor is crumbling away, as if (from a 1st person perspective) your hopes and dreams are falling apart before your eyes.

This again reminds me of the mind of a mentally ill person, scattered thoughts, not ordered or indeed sane!

If you look closely at the stains on the wall, you can see a face, from the side, as if wearing a gasmask or perhaps covering one's mouth with a cloth? i don'tt know how rellevant that is but that's what came to mind. were old soldiers (supposedly crazy) condemned to life here?

It looks like an iron lung to me

In reference to the first picture, it COULD be yet another incidental reference to the mind of a mentally ill person. The base has colapsed through and everything has fellen through with it, like a psychological abyss.

Perhaps an incidental referance to the mindset of some mentally ill patients. Something so out of place, like their personalities and opinions in the world they are/were in.

It looks like the mould is creeping steadily accross the room, decaying it piece by piece! possibly like the slow-acting yet chronic effects of mental illness. excellent shot.

perhaps the vine, by clinging to the wall, is making a literal (yet completely incidental) reference to the strong grip of the law on it's deviants.

I don't think the prisoners would have had an opportunity to climb the bars in the foreground of this shot. it was probably just a "gate" between two sections of the prison, perhaps the bars there would just be to slow down prisoners in the even of a break out or a riot? just a thought...

What kinda surgery did these guys do? i heard they did lobotomies! don't like the sound of thatmuch! (this is an incredible site!! like the photography!)
