Frank-pgh Not that it matters now, but Dixmont WAS designated a National Historic Landmark. If you look on the Dixmont Hospital site, there is a photo of the front of Reed Hall showing the plaque. The owner of the property was able to have it removed from the list due to the damage the building had suffered. I will miss it as much as anyone, (having visited there several times while it was still active), but maybe she needed to be finally put to rest. The indignity she suffered was criminal.
